The FT-14 series of industrial steam traps feature rugged cast iron (1") or ductile iron (1-1/2" and 2") construction for pressures from 65 psig up to 200 psig. The convenient in-line connections allow for servicing of all trap internals without removing the trap from the pipeline. The stainless steel air vent, float, and valve eliminate air binding, resist corrosion and allow for continuous drainage of condensate. The float valve mechanism modulates to discharge condensate continuously at steam temperature, while non-condensable gases are released by a separate internal balanced pressure thermostatic air vent.

Austenitic Stainless Steel and “Unique Rotating Cover” Design The Spirax-Sarco FTS14 is a austenitic stainless steel float & thermostatic steam trap with an integral automatic air vent. As standard the FTS14 has horizontal connections, with flow from right to left. However, its unique design allows the cover to be rotated to accompany vertical top to bottom or bottom to top flow patterns. An integral stainless steel strainer screen pro-tects the integrity of the steam trap’s operation. Rated for food and surgical applications.

Spirax-Sarco Stainless Steel FT46 Steam Traps & Parts Spirax-Sarco FT46 float & thermostatic steam traps are very similar to the FTS14 series, except they have flanged connections and are for only horizontal installation. All operating internals are stainless steel and the body construction is AISI 316 stainless steel, certified for both food and surgical applications. Applications include heating jackets, heat exchangers, large process vessels, steam separators and humidifiers. ■ Designed for continuous drainage of high condensate loads from filtered steam. ■ Select from four different maximum steam working pressures: 65, 145, 200 & 300 psi ■ Maximum pressure shell design: 304 psi @ 752° F; 472 psi @ 464° F.

FT450 3” and 4”

Model FT450 in 3” and 4” sizes are a high capacity float & thermostatic steam trap. The double seated main valve allows for conden-sate to be drained at the same rate as it enters the trap. Collecting air is discharged through the integral air vent into a standpipe which is connected to the main valve mechanism housing downstream of the main valve.
