What is a State Emergency Service?
The NSW State Emergency Service is an emergency and rescue service to assist the
community.
What Do they do?
The SES(State Emergency service) helps emergencies such as storm damage, flood damage, building damage, traffic hazards
and road crash rescue.
How long do they work each day
They are operational for 24 hours a day.
When did it begin?
It began in Australia from 1955.
How does it help the community?
The SES provides assistance to local communities in times of need.
What is their telephone number?
The telephone number for all SES units is 132 500. However, in a life-threatening emergency, Triple-zero should be contacted
instead.
