BUMPY ADVERTISING

The efforts of zealous advertisers to bring to the attention of the student body the affairs that they arc sponsoring has led to a certain amount of inconvenshyience in Draper hall It is a condition directly within the province of the campus commission and should be remedied by that body without delay

Large and ornamental posters hang in great profushysion over the Washington avenue entrance staircase They are depended from the air by a cord stretched over the steps Either the posters are too long or the cord is not raised high enough for persons of ordinary height can almost bump their heads while those of more than average length must comb their hair after passing up or down this staircase

The commission has a duly to perform here It should act with despatch

PEOPLE WITH TAKING WAYS

Much is heard of people with taking ways these days One person definitely afflicted with the attributes connected with this title visited the publications office the past week and removed several books belonging to students connected with the N E W S It is not the first time that it has happened and in all probability it will not be the last

It ought to be clearly understood that books placed on the desks in that room belong to student journalists or other representatives of College extra-class activities They are not there for the purpose of being selected as a worthy addition to the library of an impecunious devotee of knowledge

The removal of bunks plainly marked as personal property works an embarrassment upon the owners as well as on the Undent body as a whole for it may result in the retardation of the work of the owner and certainly visits suspicion upon (he heads of many who are innocent
