• Approachnationalandlocalbroadcasters.Theymaybewillingtoairyourshowforfreeoratareducedcost. Ifyouarepresentingaqualityproductthatcouldattractadvertisingandgiveslocalchildren‘avoice’.
• Broadcast as video on demand on satellite dish TVs or VOD websites. This willgenerateincome.

What’stherightversionformycontext?
Lookatwhatresourcesyouhave,whatuniqueactivitiesyouoryourministryisinvolvedinandtheissuesortopicsyouwouldliketoaddressandmakesegments.Look at the India English segments to get some ideas of segments that are social,entertaining,skillbasedandbiblical.Read an episode script from both the Indian ‘drama version’ and the correspondingTogo/Nepal‘anchorversion’todecidewhichwillworkforyourcontext.Budgettooplaysanimportantfactorinchoosingtheformatofyourshow.Dramaversionsmayrequiremoretimeandmoneythantheanchorversionsandsegmentversions.
CananyonecreatetheirownversionofKHTV?
KHTV is an expression of children and their KidsHub groups from different parts of theworld.WebelievethateachkidsgrouporKidsHubhasthepotentialtocreateavideothatisvery unique to them. These segments can be shared locally but also globally via theKidsHubTVwebsite.ThereisthepotentialforaKidsHubtoincludevideosegmentsmadebyotherKidsHubsaroundtheworldintheirownuniqueTVshow.Thiswillmakeeachversion

ofKidsHubTVbothinterestinglocallyandgloballywhileengagingchildrenfromallovertheworld.Several people from a region can create their own version of KHTV. Madagascar KHTVnamed their show as KidsHubs Kelimahefa (The name of their organisation), you too canhave a unique add-on name to the existing KidsHubs or KidsHub TV title to differentiateyourselffromtheotherKHTVinyourregion.
StepsforDramaVersion(RegularEpisode)
1. Brainstorm andwrite the format for the show: number of cast and the skills youwant each child to focus on; location of the drama; ‘Lifeskill’ segment (eg.relationships/health & hygiene/social/education) & ‘Let’s Do it’ segment (eg.sport/cooking/craft/art/music/dance/science/ITetc)ideasforyourcontext.
2. Identifycast-sendoutinformationtodifferentchurches&castingagenciesandsetacastingdate,location&time.Auditionchildren:setupacamera;starttheauditionfilming each child holding sheet with their name then ask them to perform (asong/dance/drama/speech). Give them direction to change their performanceslightlyoractoutascenariotosee iftheycantakedirection.Askthemwhattheirskillsare.Takenotes&contactdetailsforeachchild.
3. Startdevelopingcharactersforthescriptonceyouhaveselectedyourcastbasedontheirskills&personalities.PlantheBiblemessageandtopicsforeachepisode.See13episodescriptsforideasorcreateyourown.

• AproducerwouldbefreetousealltheresourcesavailabletocreatetheTVshowwiththeunderstandingthattheyagreewiththeshow’stheologicalbasis.(SeethestatementofbeliefintheLausanneCovenanthttp://www.lausanne.org/en/documents/lausanne-covenant.html)
OurAgreementwithyou:
• InitiallywewouldliketobeinvolvedhelpingyouinthepilotstageofyourKidsHubTVshowwherepossible(andifwanted).Thiswillhelpuskeeptheglobalformatrelativelyconsistentandmeansthatshowsindifferentcountriescanmoreeasilysharevideocontent/segmentsiftheyhaveasimilarlookandfeel.
• Wecanthengivecreativeinputasneeded(viaemail&skype).
• Wewouldlovetoreceivecopiesofsegmentsorvideos,interviewsandtestimoniesofhowchildrenhavebeeninvolvedand/orbeenaffectedbyKidsHubTV.
• Afterhelpingyouinitiallywewouldthennotbeinvolvedintheproductionbutwouldvaluefeedbackonhowyouaregoing.
