Acts 4:8-10

Our strength comes from the Lord alone. We are strong because we are dependent

to Christ.

STRENGTH IS A BEHAVIORBORN OUT OF BELIEF.

Our Strength is because of our belief.

Everything is anchored to Jesus.

Our strength is our Lord Jesus.

What you believe in determines how you behave.

Boldness/Strength:

parrhesia (par-rhay-see'-ah); outspokenness, assurance, courage, confidence; to act

without fear.

Strength begins with declaration and with Jesus.

AMAZING STRENGTH

Peter was the most weak of all the disciples.

His strength is his weakness. He speaks before he thinks.

What is our weakness is also our strength.

And if we surrender it to the Lord, then it is amazing.

Strength anchored to Jesus is amazing.

Any strength that is not anchored to Jesus is just

ordinary strength, and that is also the start of your

weakness.

When Peter submit his weakness to the Lord, it became his strength.

Strength is nothing, unless it is anchored to Jesus.

Peter was a strong-willed man. He was impulsive

before, that’s why he always fails. He even denied our

Lord Jesus Christ, but when he surrendered it to Jesus, his weakness becomes his

strength.

Imagine when he preached his first preaching, 3000 accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and

Lord.

Christians were on fire.

Lame beggar was healed.

1 One day Peter and John weregoing up to the temple at the time ofprayer—at three in the afternoon.

2 Now a man who was lame frombirth was being carried to the templegate called Beautiful, where he wasput every day to beg from thosegoing into the temple courts.

Acts 3:1-10

3 When he saw Peter and Johnabout to enter, he asked them formoney.

4 Peter looked straight at him, as didJohn. Then Peter said, “Look at us!”

5 So the man gave them hisattention, expecting to getsomething from them.

Acts 3:1-10

6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold Ido not have, but what I do have Igive you. In the name of JesusChrist of Nazareth, walk.”

7 Taking him by the right hand, hehelped him up, and instantly theman’s feet and ankles becamestrong.

Acts 3:1-10

8 He jumped to his feet and beganto walk. Then he went with theminto the temple courts, walking andjumping, and praising God.

9 When all the people saw himwalking and praising God,

Acts 3:1-10

10 they recognized him as the sameman who used to sit begging at thetemple gate called Beautiful, andthey were filled with wonder andamazement at what had happenedto him.

Acts 3:1-10

Acts 4:8-10

10 Let me clearly state to all of youand to all the people of Israel thathe was healed by the powerfulname of Jesus Christ theNazarene, the man you crucifiedbut whom God raised from thedead.

Acts 4:8-10

The Sadducees are very strong in their belief that

Jesus did not resurrect, and they declare war to Peter

and John.

But their strength is nothing compared to the strength that Peter and John because they have Jesus with them and if

Jesus is with you, you are the strongest man ever.

13 The members of the council wereamazed when they saw theboldness of Peter and John, forthey could see that they wereordinary men with no specialtraining in the Scriptures. They alsorecognized them as men who hadbeen with Jesus.

Acts 4:13

When God qualifies you, you exceed the world standard.

How? By the strength of the Lord.

6 not by might nor by power but bythe Spirit of God.

Before you cannot dress modestly,

Before you don’t read the Bible, but when anchored

He gives you extraordinary strength.

Our strength comes from the Lord.

You will get tired when you please people.

You are tired because you are moving by your own strength.

Rest on the strength the Lord gives you.

How much time we put in Jesus? in prayer? in discipleship? in

reading the Bible?

Time with Jesus builds your faith; which leads to strength

that produces Spiritual results.

If you are with the Lord, then you will not struggle.

20 We cannot stop telling abouteverything we have seen and heard.

Acts 4:20

Dead raised:

Peter, girl, Tabitha, Dorcas, Paul, Euthychus

Healed:

Peter lame man, Annaiasheals Paul, Phillip crippled.

Why would Peter have the faith to ask?… because his strength is

anchored to Jesus.

Amazing things will happen, if you are anchored to Jesus.

How can you be strong? If your life is anchored to Jesus.

What are your Weaknesses that you

could give to God that will become

your strength?

notice?
