This may be in a Starlight Express Room, in a remote community or a hospital ward when a child is too sick to leave bed. ⋆ Starlight Express Rooms: Found in every children’s hospital across Australia, these magical places are where kids can play, laugh and forget about being sick. ⋆ Livewire: Our specially designed in-hospital program to help teenagers make friends, learn new skills and find creative ways to help cope with their illness. Beyond hospital, livewire.org.au is a fun and safe online community just for teens. ⋆ Healthier Futures Initiative: Captain Starlight partners with health professionals to visit remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. By engaging with kids through music, games and craft, Starlight helps improve health clinic attendance and enhances the community’s relationship with the healthcare system. ea $26,000 would provide 667 seriously ill children, young people and their families access to the Starlight Express Room
