makes his home in Pittsburgh, PA. His father,

the former right-handed pitcher Joe Law who

spent nine seasons in the A's farm system and

four days on the Major League roster, was his pitching coach at every level through high school. Derek was good

enough to be drafted at the end of high school in 2009 (by the Texas Rangers in the 28th round), but he chose to go

to Miami Dade College in Florida, which has a highly respected baseball program. In

2016 the rookie right-hander completed his first season in the big leagues as one of

the best Giants relievers, posting a 2.13 ERA in 61 games. In 2017 Derek had two

stints with the Giants, going 4-1 with a 5.06 ERA (21er, 37.1ip); made his first-ever

Opening Day roster; went 3-0 with a 2.40 ERA (4er, 15.0ip) over his first 16

appearances with San Francisco;

had a nine game stretch from

late May-mid June where he

allowed 12 earned runs and 20

hits (including four home runs) in

8.2 innings (12.46 ERA); was optioned to triple-A on June 19; was

recalled from triple-A on Sept. 1 and posted a 3.68 ERA (3er, 7.1ip)

in 10 outings; went 1-1 with a 2.48 ERA (9er, 32.2ip) and 10 saves

in 25 games with triple-A Sacramento.

Brenden Dillon, #4, Defense, has made a career out of overcoming the odds after being told he wouldn't measure up.

At 5-foot-2, Dillon wasn't selected in the Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, but he played four seasons with

Seattle of the WHL, captained the team in 2010-11 and grew a foot taller during his junior days. Still, Dillon was

passed over in the NHL Draft, but after he had 51 assists in his final season with Seattle, the Dallas Stars signed him

to an entry-level contract. He played three seasons with Texas of the American Hockey League before making his NHL

debut in the Stars' final game of the 2011-12 season. The New

Westminster, British Columbia, native broke through as an NHL

regular in 2012-13, playing 48 games, registering 133 hits and

becoming the first defenseman in Stars history to have a Gordie

Howe hat trick: scoring a goal (his first in the NHL), getting an assist

and fighting Kyle Chipchura on Feb. 1, 2013, against the

then-Phoenix Coyotes. At the end of the season, Dillon was picked

to play for Canada at the World Championship. Having grown into

a 6-foot-4, 225-pound presence on the ice, Dillon led Dallas with 165 hits and led Stars defensemen in penalty

minutes with 86 in the 2013-14 season.Twenty games into the 2014-15 season, Dillon was traded to the San Jose

Sharks for Jason Demers and a 2016 third-round

draft pick. Dillon made his San Jose debut Nov.

22, 2014, against the Arizona Coyotes. The

Sharks showed their faith in Dillon after the

season, signing him to a five-year contract on

June 30, 2015.

The Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is a space for

imaginations to run wild! It is a place where learning is made to

be fun, and where fun encourages further learning. We know

that activities and exhibits that tap into children’s passions and

interests spark their curiosity to learn more. BADM features

seven exhibition spaces and more than six daily drop-in

programs for children 6 months of

Founded as an observatory in 1883, today Chabot offers visitors

hands-on experiences, interactive exhibits and space related artifacts,

CuriOdyssey brings children and families up close with the natural

world. We let kids loose to observe wild animals, experiment with

scientific phenomena and let the natural world answer their questions.

We treat kids like the geniuses they are. As a science and wildlife centre,

our mission is to help children acquire the tools to deeply understand the changing world. We offer the tools to

question and explore our world: interactive science exhibits, hands-on and explorative school and public programs,

and up close encounters with native California animals. Our animals receive exemplary care while in our keeping and

we support conservation efforts to protect animals in the wild. Our wildlife keepers work hard to replicate some of

the conditions our animals would experience if out in the wild. Custom exhibits encourage children to experiment

and investigate the fundamental forces in nature while having fun. Stir up a vortex, send objects flying, and move

Filoli is dedicated to the preservation, interpretation, and stewardship of the

cultural traditions and natural history of this country estate for public education

backdrop of the northern Santa Cruz Mountains in Woodside, California, Filoli is

an excellent example of the Golden Age of American garden design and country

house architecture. Filoli is recognized as one of the finest remaining country
