A little Bit About the Middle Ages
(400-1400)
The Kingdom Chronicles:The Belt of Truth
When we become citizens of God’s Kingdom, we need to get serious
about the Lord and choosing to live for him.
We need to be ready for the battle between the two kingdoms.
Becoming a Knight-There were only a few ways in which a person could become a knight. The
first way was the normal course of action for the son of a noble
-If you were from a royal family, you could leave home and begin your training to be a knight as early at
seven years old.
Becoming a Knight
-At the age of 7, they were considered Pages
-At the age of 14, they became Squires
-At the age of 21, they were Knights
Becoming a KnightThe medieval knight was the equivalent of the modern tank. He was covered in multiple layers of armor, and could plow through foot soldiers standing in his way.
Becoming a Knight
-A knight’s armor could weight as much as 60 lbs.
-A knight’s sword was so heavy that he needed to use it with
both hands.-What would hold the armor
Together?
During the Medieval times knights wore a belt around their clothing to keep their clothes up and to hold their
swords.
This belt was the very fits piece of armor the knight
would put on.
In the same way are to wear the belt of truth.
The belt of the truth of God holds everything else
together. The truth keeps us strong and sure.
Choose Truth
There is a difference between saying:
“There are no absolutes”and
“Not accepting the absolute truth”
Apart from the standard of God, Jesus and the Word,
there is no way to determine what truth is—everything
becomes a matter of personal opinion.
And who determines which opinion is right?
The only basis for determining truth from error, right from wrong,
comes from embracing the One who is the truth.
God is TruthExodus 34:6
“And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the
Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in
goodness and truth”(NKJV)
Jesus is the truth
John 14:6“Jesus answered, "I am the
way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
me.”
The Word is Truth
John 17:17“Sanctify them by Your
truth. Your word is truth.”

For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners,
so also through the obedience of the one man
the many will be made righteous.
