Dear Parents/Guardians, My name is Alana Linde, and I am a student teacher from Drake University. I have the fortunate opportunity to be teaching your child for the latter half of this semester. Graduating from a Catholic high school myself, Dowling has been a very special experience as I am welcomed with the same faith-based foundation that I grew up with. In my final phase of my collegiate experience, I will graduate in May certified to teach both mathematics and business at the high school level. I began my student teaching experience at Dowling in January in the Business Department, and now I have the privilege to remain at this school and work alongside Mrs. Degen to demonstrate and refine my math teaching skills. As I begin to transition into teaching full time and lead the class during the month of April, I want to let you know that I am available if you have questions or concerns. I seek to make this a smooth transition for your child and would love your cooperation during this process. I look forward to teaching and learning alongside your son or daughter.
