awareness regarding that distinction.

A republic and a democracy areidentical in every aspect except one.In a republic the sovereignty is ineach individual person. In ademocracy the sovereignty is in thegroup.

The word "people" may be eitherplural or singular. In a republic thegroup only has advisory powers; thesovereign individual is free to rejectt h e m a j o r i t y g r o u p - t h i n k .USA/exception: if 100% of a juryconvicts, then the individual losessovereignty and is subject to group-think as in a democracy.]

The distinction between ourRepublic and a democracy is not anidle one. It has great legalsignificance.

G o v e r n m e n t ; R e p u b l i c a ngovernment. One in which thepowers of sovereignty are vested inthe people and are exercised by thepeople, either directly, or throughrepresentatives chosen by thepeople, to whom those powers arespecially delegated. In re Duncan,139 U.S. 449, 11 S.Ct. 573, 35 L.Ed.219; Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S.(21 Wall.) 162, 22 L.Ed. 627.[Black's Law Dictionary, FifthEdition, p. 626]

Democracy. That form ofgovernment in which the sovereignpower resides in and is exercised bythe whole body of free citizensdirectly or indirectly through asystem of representation, as

distinguished from a monarchy, aristocracy, or oligarchy. Black'sLaw Dictionary, Fifth Edition, pp.388-389. [Black's Law Dictionary,Fifth Edition, can be found in anylaw library and most law offices.][NOTE: In a pure democracy, 51%beats 49%. In other words, theminority has no rights. The minorityonly has those privileges granted bythe dictatorship of the majority.]

The Constitution guarantees toevery state a Republican form ofgovernment (Art. 4, Sec. 4). No statemay join the United States unless it isa Republic. Our Republic is onededicated to "liberty and justice forall." Minority individual rights arethe priority. The people have naturalrights instead of civil rights. Thepeople are protected by the Bill ofRights from the majority. One vote ina jury can stop all of the majorityfrom depriving any one of the peopleof his rights; this would not be so ifthe United States were a democracy.

O n l y f i v e o f t h e U . S .Constitution's first ten amendmentsapply to Citizens of the UnitedStates. Simply stated, a democracy isa dictatorship of the majority.

“I pledge allegiance to the flag ofthe United States of America, and tothe Republic for which it stands, oneNation under God, indivisible, with

liberty and justice for all."In the Pledge of Allegiance we all

pledge allegiance to our Republic,not to a democracy. "Republic" is thep r o p e r d e s c r i p t i o n o f o u rgovernment, not "democracy." Youare invited to join in raising public

Socrates was executed by ademocracy: though he harmed noone, the majority found himintolerable.

What is Government? “[T]hegovernment is but an agency of thestate, distinguished as it must be inaccurate thought from its schemeand machinery of government.[Black's Law Dictionary, FifthEdition, p. 625] In other words, thepeople are the state.

The people own the governmentagencies. The government agenciesown the citizens. In the UnitedStates we have a three-tiered castsystem consisting of people --->government agencies ---> andcitizens.

The people did "ordain andestablish this Constitution," not forthemselves, but "for the UnitedStates of America." In delegatingpowers to the government agenciesthe people gave up none of theirown. (See Preamble of U.S.Constitution). This adoption of thisconcept is why the U.S. has beencalled the "Great Experiment in selfgovernment." The People governthemselves, while their agents

The one on the right isthe WWII symbol after rotating the original by 45degrees.The swastika is the world’s oldest complexsymbol which has been demonized by the Jews.. Theoldest found swastika is around 8500 years old. Theword “swastika” comes from India. Traditionally theswastika has been used all over the world on everycontinent and has almost universally meant goodfortune, life, light or other good things. The swastika has held a place of greatimportance in India and Asia for thousands ofyears, and is widely used by Hindus, Jains andBuddhists.

The swastika is to be seen everywhere acrossthe Indian sub-continent: sculptured into templesboth ancient and modern, decorating buildings, houses, shops, painted onto public buses, in taxis -even decorating the dashboards of the three-wheeler motor rickshaws. Many religious andspiritual books display the symbol. It may well bethe most prevalent symbol one will see in India.

However, the swastika is not limited to IndiaandAsia. Evidence suggests that the swastika wasin use in many other cultures too. For example:

Swastika, Ontario was named in the first decade of the 20th century, when the swastika symbolmeant little to Canadians outside of "good luck." Prospectors named the Swastika Gold Mine in1907, and another nearby mine was named the Lucky Cross Mine. The town was incorporated in1908. Then the rise of Hitler caused the word "swastika" to fall out of favor quickly, as it was usedas a symbol of his Third Reich. In 1935, the government of Ontario decided the name of Swastikashould be changed, just as Berlin, Ontario had changed it sname to Kitchener during World War I.The residents of Swastika took offense to the name change, and resisted the new name of Winston. The town removed the Winston sign and replaced it with the original name Swastika, but theyadded a new sign as well: one that said "To hell with Hitler, we came up with our name first"!Source: mentalfloss.com/article/48761/origins-8-strangest-place-names-canada

(government agencies) performtasks listed in the Preamble for thebenefit of the People. Theexperiment is to answer thequestion, "Can self-governingpeople coexist and prevail overgovernment agencies that have noauthority over the People?"

The citizens of the United Statesare totally subject to the laws of theUnited States (See 14thAmendmentof U.S. Constitution). NOTE: U.S.citizenship did not exist until July28, 1868.

Actually, the United States is amixture of the two systems(Republican under Common Law,and democratic under statutorylaw). The People enjoy their God-given natural rights in the Republic. In a democracy, the Citizens enjoyonly privileges (also known as civilrights) granted by the governmentagencies. ###
