5 Stages of Loss and Grief

1. Denial– Refusing to believe what is happening

2. Anger– Being angry about what is happening

3. Bargaining– Making promises, hoping to change what is happening

4. Depression– Being depresses when recognizing the outcome is unlikely to

change

5. Acceptance– Accepting what is happening, adjusting and bouncing back
