WELCOME TO STAF! Worship is not the praise songs we sing at the beginning of church or the money we put in the offering plate as it passes by. Worship isn’t kneeling for prayer either. While those are most definitely expressions of worship, they do not truly define what real worship is. True worship according to Webster is to “honor with extravagant love and extreme submission.” Wow. Then may our singing, giving, and praying be extravagant and extreme. Welcome to Worship.

When Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the Wittenberg Church doors, he could hardly have guessed the movement that began would change the entire trajectory of the church and its history. When demanded to recant, he calmly responded: “I cannot and will not recant anything, for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand, I can do no other, so help me God. Amen” (Diet of Worms, 1521). Now, on the eve of the 500th anniversary of that event, the question is asked, “Does the Reformation still matter?” In this new 4-part series, Pastor Ben will attempt to answer that question and more as he unpacks the 4 key components of Reformation Theology.
