FOR REFLECTION AND PRAYERFUL CONCERNAlmighty God, Father of the human race, forgive us our divisions and heal the wounds of bitterness, resentment and injured pride. By

your love, reconcile us to You that, by your love, we might be reconciled to one another. Send down your blessings and power on all in high places and throughout the world who work today to heal old wounds. Amen.

Please pray for God‘s blessing on Jonathan Gichaara, Dorothy Pipet and Andrew Lomax as they lead our worship today. Please pray too for all who take part in today’s worship, whether in leadership or otherwise.

Remember in love any members of our Church Family who are unwell, recovering from illness or surgery, or for any other reason need our prayers at this time, remembering Carol and Sid Perry,Maggie Walker, who is very poorly, and Norman Small. Also remember Alan Forsdick and Joan. Alan is still rather weak.

After last week’s tragic fire in London, pray with the rest of the country for all who have lost loved ones, those fighting for their lives, others less seriously injured and those whose fate is presently unknown. Give thanks for the heroism and prompt attendance of firefighters, police, ambulance etc. and the generous response of neighbours etc.

On Fathers’ Day, please pray for God’s blessing on all fathers, thinking particularly of fathers who, for whatever circumstances, are separated from their children.

Also remember our Festival weekend and Gift Day next weekend.

As the Methodist Conference begins in Birmingham this week, pray that it may be a time of inspiration, worship and challenge for all taking part.
