The month of July is dedicated to the Precious Blood. The feast of the Precious Blood of our Lord was instituted in 1849 by Pius IX, but the devotion is as old as Christianity. The early Fathers say that the Church was born from the pierced side of Christ, and that the sacra-ments were brought forth through His Blood.

ATTENTION! PARENTS OF FIRST COMMUNION STUDENTS SPRING 2020

Families of students who prepared to receive their 1st Com-munion this Spring need to watch the video on the parish web-site or Facebook page for an explanation of how to proceed.

Choose one of the following options and notify RE office of your preference:

1. Wait until next year.

2. Sign up for one of the time slots at our public weekend Masses this summer. (Two families per Mass will be highlighted with special seating, mentioned by Father that they are receiving 1st Communion, and stu-dent and family will receive Communion be-fore the rest of congregation.)

3. Have your child receive 1st Communion at another parish that is having a group ceremony. (you will need to get permis-sion from the pastor at that parish. I will provide a letter stating your child was prepared here and you have our permis-sion.

Once you have watched the video, please contact Mrs. Val in the parish office (931) 526-4411 to let her know your choice

or for more information.

GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING WEEKEND MASSES

1) Everyone should enter the church on the North of the church (side closest to the

Chapel). The elevator & downstairs will both be closed. If you are handicapped

an usher will be present to assist you.

2) When entering the church for Mass, everyone must wear a face mask that

covers both nose and mouth. This is a directive of our Bishop. If you forgot to

bring your mask, tell the usher and we will provide one until they run out. If none

are available, you will not be able to enter the church for Mass.

3) Upon entering the church your temperature will be taken. If your temp is over 100

you will not be allowed to attend Mass. Use the hand sanitizer that will be at the

door. Please consider using it again when you leave.

4) Ushers will be there to seat you. Their responsibility is to seat everyone in a way

that maintains social-distancing (six feet) between you and those around you. You

will not be seated in the place you normally like to sit. For now, please be patient

and humble. If you need special seating due to a disability, let the usher know so

we can keep you in the front rows of the church.

5) For Holy Communion, follow the instructions of the ushers. The ushers will call

by rows beginning in the back. Be sure to keep six feet between you and the

person in front of you. The usher will squirt sanitizer in your hand.

6) When in the Communion line, wear your face mask. Receive the Blessed

Sacrament in your hands, take a few steps to the side and then lower your mask to

place on your tongue, and then put your mask back in place. If you insist on

receiving on your tongue, which is your right, the Eucharistic Minister must stop

distribution, re-sanitize his or her hands and then resume distribution.

7) When Mass has concluded, the ushers will release you by pew to help maintain

social distancing. The Wooden Doors are for Exit only.

8) To the best of your ability, try to avoid using the bathrooms. (This will be easy for

some but not so easy for others !) The bathroom doors will be propped open just

enough so that you can enter and leave the bathrooms without having to touch the

doors. Parents must escort younger children to and from the bathrooms and help

them remember to wash their hands properly. We will sanitize the bathrooms

between Masses, but cannot do so effectively during Mass.

9) Once Mass is concluded we humbly ask that you leave the church so that the

volunteers can begin the process of sanitizing the pews as soon as possible. The

sanitizer must be applied and have time to dry before the next Mass.

10) To avoid unnecessary contact with items that are commonly touched, there will be

no hymnbooks or worship aids in the pews. The collection baskets will not be

passed out by the ushers. Please leave your donation in the baskets at the

Baptismal Font. Bulletins will only be available after Mass. Of course the bulletin

is always available online.

PRIMERA COMUNION PRIMAVERA 2020 Las familias de los estudiantes que se prepararon para recibir su primera comunión esta primavera

deben ver el video en el sitio web de la parroquia o en la página de Facebook para obtener una explicación de cómo proceder. Elija una de las siguientes opciones: 1. Esperar hasta el año que viene. 2. Regístrarse en uno de los horaios disponibles en nues-

tras misas de fin de semana este verano (mas infor-mación en el parrafo de abajo).

3. Su hijo puede recibir su primera comunión en otra par-roquia que tenga una ceremonia en grupo. (Asegurese de obtener el permiso del pastor de esa parroquia).

La opción 2 funcionara asi; Los estudiantes de la Primera Comunión de dos familias seran destacados en cada Misa de fin de semana durante el verano. El estudiante y su familia INMEDIATA (solo aquellos con quienes viven a diario) se sentaran en el primer banco. (La familia extendida y las ami-gos necesitaran sentarse en otras areas de la iglesia o ver la misa en vivo). El padre mencionara que recibiran su primera comunión ese dia.

PASOS A SEGUIR PARA ASISTIR A LAS MISAS DEL FIN DE SEMANA

1) Todos deben ingresar a la iglesia por el lado norte de la Iglesia (por las puertas de la Capilla). El ascensor(elevador) y la planta baja estarán cerrados. Si está discapacitado, alguien de bienvenida estará presente para ayudarlo.

2) Al entrar a la Iglesia para la Misa, todos deben usar un cubre bocas que cubra tanto la nariz al igual que la boca. Esta es una directiva de nuestro Obispo. Si olvidó traer su máscara, dígaselo al los de bienvenida y le proporcionaremos una hasta que se acaben. Si no hay ninguno disponible, no podrá ingresar a la Iglesia para la misa.

3) Al entrar a la iglesia, le tomarán la temperatura. Si su temperatura es superior a 100, no se le permitirá asistir a misa. Use el desinfectante de manos que estará en la entrada. Por favor considere usarlo nuevamen-te cuando se vaya.

4) Los de bienvenida estarán allí para sentarlo. Su responsabilidad es sentar a todos de una manera que mantenga el distanciamiento social (seis pies) entre usted y quienes lo rodean. No se sentará en el lugar donde normalmente le gusta sentarse. Por ahora, sea paciente y humilde. Si necesita asientos especiales debido a una discapacidad, avísele al de bienvenida para que podamos mantenerlo en las primeras filas de la iglesia.

5) Para la Sagrada Comunión, siga las instrucciones de los de bienvenida. Ellos llamarán por banca que comi-enzan en la parte de atras. Asegúrese de mantener seis pies entre usted y la persona frente a usted. El de bienvenida le pondra desinfectante en su mano.

6) Cuando esté en la línea para la Comunión, use su cubre boca. Reciba el Santísimo Sacramento en sus manos, dé unos pasos a un lado y luego baje su cubre boca para colocarla en su lengua, y luego vuelva a colo-car su cubre boca en su lugar. Si insiste en recibir en su lengua, que es su derecho, el Ministro Eucarístico de-be detener la distribución, volver a desinfectar sus manos y luego resumir la distribución.

7) Cuando la misa haya concluido, los de bienvenida los despidiran por banca para ayudar a mantener el dis-tanciamiento social. Las puertas de madera son solo para salida.

8) Lo mejor que pueda, trate de evitar usar los baños. (¡Esto será fácil para algunos pero no tan fácil para ot-ros!) Las puertas del baño se mantendrán abiertas lo suficiente como para que pueda entrar y salir de los ba-ños sin tener que tocar las puertas. Los padres deben acompañar a los niños más pequeños hasta los baños y ayudarlos a recorder de lavarse las manos adecuadamente. Vamos a desinfectar los baños entre misas, pero no podemos hacerlo de manera efectiva durante la misa.

9) Una vez que concluye la misa, le pedimos humildemente de desalojar la iglesia para que los voluntarios puedan comenzar el proceso de desinfectar las bancas lo antes posible. El desinfectante debe aplicarse y ten-er tiempo para secarse antes de la próxima misa.

10) Para evitar el contacto innecesario con elementos que se tocan comúnmente, NO habrá himnarios ni misales en los bancos. Los de bienvenida no repartirán las canastas de colecta. Por favor deje su donación en las canastas que estará en la Fuente Bautismal y a los lados. Los boletines solo estarán disponibles después de la misa, en parte de afuera de la Iglesia. Por supuesto, el boletín siempre está disponible en línea.
