Dear Parishioners, Our Lenten observance is now underway. Beginning this week, we will be participating with other parishes in the greater DC area in the annual "The Light Is On For You" confession campaign. Each Wednesday during Lent we will be having confessions from 6:30pm until 8:00pm, in addition to our regu-larly scheduled confessions on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. That said, this Wednesday confessions will not begin until 7:00pm -- due to our need to reschedule First Penance for our second grade RE students. I want to express my thanks to all who participated in the Bishop's Lenten Appeal in-pew drive at the Masses last weekend. I know that Bishop Bur-bidge is grateful for the support -- as are the many who are served through the ministries in the diocese supported by this annual appeal. As I mentioned at Masses last weekend, I would love to see 100% participation from our parish -- every contribution is important. If you have not yet done so, please consider a sacrificial pledge -- or one-time gift -- to this year's BLA. Don't forget that our Lenten Soup Suppers continue this Friday evening in the school cafeteria. We call these suppers "sacrificial" as we are asking that you make a donation for charity, as if you were going out to eat. Anyone who's been to the suppers knows there is no sacrifice when it comes to the amount and variety of foods offered. Since all the food is contributed by families in the parish, any donation you make goes completely to charity. Stations will be offered at 2:30 in the afternoon with our school community and at 7:30 in the evening. God bless you!

Baptisms

Parents desiring Baptism for their child must attend a class, preferably before the child’s birth. The clas-ses are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm in the Louis Martin Conference Room in the Administration Bldg. After you attend the class, you may schedule your child for the Sacrament of Bap-tism (Sundays 1:30pm). Date is confirmed once all paperwork is received in the office. Forms can be found on the Parish web-site under Faith, Sacra-ments, Baptism.

The priest must be con-tacted at least six (6) months prior to the wed-ding date.
