TO ENTER A ST. PETERS CULTURAL ARTS CENTRE SHOW:

• Arts Centre members may submit up to 4 pieces of artwork for $15, non-members may submit up to 3 pieces for $20.

• Shows are open to amateur and professional artists. All works will be judged together.

• Youth artwork is accepted in these categories: grades K-5, grades 6-8 and high school. First, second, third and honorable mention ribbons will be given in each category. Youth entry fee is $5 per piece.

• Cash awards for adult entries: Best of Show ($100), 1st Place ($50), 2nd Place ($25), 3rd Place ($15) and Honorable Mention ribbons.

• Commissions: Sales are encouraged. St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre retains a 25% commission on any work sold during the exhibition. Entrants selling work will be asked to submit a W-9 before receiving payment. There is no commission for the $100 or Less Art Show & Sale, so a W-9 form is not required for that particular show.

ART WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Art must be suitably framed with WIRE ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS.

• Works on paper must be under glass (smaller than 16” x 20”) or Plexiglass no larger than 24” x 36”.

• Textile works must include hardware for hanging using the City’s hanging system.

• All works must remain on display during the full length of the exhibition

• The Arts Centre reserves the right to combine or eliminate awards in the event of lack of entries in categories.

THE FOLLOWING IS PROHIBITED:

• NO copies/reproductions of any art. ALL ARTWORK MUST BE ORIGINAL.

• NO artwork created prior to 2016.

• NO piece having won first place or Best of Show in a Cultural Arts Centre sponsored show (works may be accepted for exhibition only).

• NO work done or completed under instruction.

• NO framed work larger than 24” x 36” (this includes gallery wrapped canvases).

• NO artwork exceeding 15 lbs.

• NO giclees.

• NO nudes. The Arts Centre reserves the right to jury work for content.
