January was cold and white — speaking in preschool terms! In parent and teacher terms, January was little ones locked inside too much!! Even though we missed some school days, we had lots of fun learning all about winter, penguins, polar bears, and many other things. The children loved playing with REAL snow in the water tables! February will fill the rooms with talk of things we love and sharing Valentine’s with all of our friends. Mrs. B

Valentine’s Day Each class will have a special

Valentine’s Party! If you are the mom

or dad for the party, your child’s

teacher will contact you with details

about the party.

Every child is welcome to bring in

Valentine’s for his or her classmates.

There is one BIG favor ALL teachers

ask of you: Please DO NOT label the

Valentine’s with classmates names.

This makes passing out Valentine‘s

complicated!!

Book Orders Thank you for those who

ordered! The books should be in this week.

Please watch your child’s folder for the Feb-

ruary book order! It is due February 13th.

Rainbow day was very colorful! It was awesome to see everyone wearing so many colors! Our next special day is Feb. 26 & 27th— When I Grow Up Day! The children can dress up as what they want to be when they grow up! Every occupation is okay, even superhero’s and princesses! We love to see the children dream!

Kindness Curriculum

During the month of January we read the story, “The Mitten Tree” about Sarah who knitted mittens for the children at the bus stop. Her own children had grown up and moved away. We talked about living alone and ways we could help those who may be feeling lonely. The children decorated placemats that were given to the Meals on Wheels program.
