In the church, the God we encounter is

not a merciless judge, but a merciful and

forgiving God like the father in the story

of The Prodigal Son (Sunday’s Gospel –

Luke 15: 11-32). The son left his home

with the money of his inheritance. He

wasted all the money and then, when he

had nothing left, he decided to return

home, not as a son but as a servant. His

heart was filled with guilt and shame.

The surprise came when the son began to

speak, to ask for forgiveness; his father

did not let him speak, but embraced him,

he kissed him, and he began to make merry. Each time we go to confession, God embrac-

es us. God rejoices. Think about that. Confessions at St. Paul Church are held on Satur-

day, before the 5:30 Mass and on Sunday, before the 6 p.m. Mass.

Altar Server training. Training for new altar servers for St. Paul

Church will be held Saturday morning, September 21st, from 9:00

a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Church. Boys & girls in 4th grade and above

PICTURE DAY

Vernon Photography will be taking school pictures on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019.

Every student will be photographed. You can fill out the order form your student brought

home and return it on or before picture day with your payment. You can also pay

ONLINE with a credit card. Online Prepay eliminates paperwork, lost order forms and

errors that can result from hand writing. And, it will be available for up to 48 hours after

picture day. Vernon Photography is excited to have made online prepay a FREE service.

human life from conception to natural death. What a gift this would

be to society, if every Christian family lived fully its noble vocation!

Welcome back to school, parents! The first month has flown by already. My name is Kristin Koscho and

I’m thrilled to be our school’s Box Tops for Education™ Coordinator.

Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school. Each one is worth 10¢ that may not sound like

much, but they add up quickly. We use money earned to purchase Chromebooks for Extended Day, iPads

for classrooms or anything else that the teachers find a need for.

This school year, our goal is to earn $1,000. Help us reach this goal so we can purchase the

technology our children use every day.

There are now multiple ways to earn Box Tops. See the attached flyers for details about the new Box

Tops app and the traditional clipped Box Tops. Download the App today and start earning for our school.

Also included is a list of all the participating products.

A few things to remember when clipping Box Tops:

Always check the expiration date, if they are expired they cannot be submitted.

If there is no expiration date or it cannot be read the Box Top is no good.

Look for Bonus Box Tops or Box Top Sweepstakes Codes, clip them and send them in for a

chance to earn Bonus Box Tops.
