SUNDAY OF LENT
Did You Know?
Why do we say Grace? “Saying grace” refers to the practice of praying short prayers of thanksgiving before a meal. Too often, we assume that the good things in our life are the result of our labor and we forget that all of the talents and good health are gifts from God. Such prayers of appreciation follow the example of Jesus and the apostle Paul who both “said grace” before meals. Since we owe everything we have to God’s grace, it is appropriate to thank him always. Meals provide a good time to pause and do just that. So cross yourself and pray aloud, yes, even in public. “From Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever” Amen
