God is eager to share his glory with us! We get a glimpse of this when the disciples see Jesus transfigured on the mountain. Jesus' face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white. Jesus went to the mountain knowing full well what awaited him in Jerusalem - his betrayal, rejection and crucifixion. Jesus very likely discussed this momentous decision to go to the cross with Moses and Elijah. God the Father also spoke with Jesus and gave his approval: This is my beloved Son, lis-ten to him. The Lord Jesus not only wants us to see his glory - he wants to share this glory with us. Jesus succeeded in his mission because he willingly went to Cal-vary where he offered up his life for us on the Cross. He embraced the Cross to ob-tain the crown of glory that awaits each one of us. If we hope to share fully in his glory, we, too, must follow him in the way of the cross - by dying to sin and em-bracing his will for our lives. This is the only true path that leads to everlasting peace and joy with God.
Bóg pragnie podzielić się z nami swoją chwałą! Dostrzegamy to, gdy uczniowie widzą przemienionego Jezusa na górze. Twarz Jezusa zmieniła się, a Jego ubranie stało się olśniewająco białe. Jezus udał się na górę, doskonale wiedząc, co go czeka w Jerozolimie - zdrada, odrzucenie i ukrzyżowanie. Jezus najprawdopodobniej rozmawiał o tej doniosłej decyzji pójścia na krzyż z Mojżeszem i Eliaszem. Bóg Ojciec również rozmawiał z Jezusem i dał mu aprobatę: To jest mój Syn umiłowany, słuchajcie go. Pan Jezus nie tylko chce, abyśmy ujrzeli Jego chwałę - On chce się nią dzielić z każdym z nas. Jezus odniósł sukces w swojej misji, ponieważ chętnie udał się na Kalwarię i tam ofiarował swoje życie za nas na krzyżu. Można powiedzieć, że Chrystus przyjął krzyż, aby otrzymać koronę chwały, która czeka na każdego z nas. Jeśli mamy nadzieję w pełni uczestniczyć w Jego chwale, my również musimy iść za Nim drogą krzyża - umierając dla grzechu i przyjmując Jego wolę dla naszego życia. To jedyna prawdziwa droga, która prowadzi do wiecznego pokoju i radości z Bogiem. Z pamięcią w modlitwie Ks. Marek

O gracious Master, infuse in our hearts the spotless light of Your Divine Wisdom and open the eyes of our mind that we may understand the teachings of Your Gospel. Instill in us also the fear of Your blessed commandments, so that having curbed all carnal desires, we may lead a spiritual life, both thinking and doing eve-rything to please You. For You, O Christ, our God, are the enlightenment of our souls and bodies; and to You we render glory, together with Your eternal Father, and with Your all holy, life-creating Spirit, now and ever, and forever.
