Talbot St. in reference to a civil matter. The caller was referred to district court. No crime committed. 1208 hrs. Officer handled a parking violation of N. Harbor Rd. 1421 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of the Harbor. IR completed. 1454 hrs. Officer completed vehicle maintenance in Easton. 1523 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of 933 S. Talbot St. 1610 hrs. Officers made contact with the subject. The subject suffered from a mental health illness. Officers notified the subject’s family and assisted the subject home. No crime was committed. 2357 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Maritime Museum. 0028 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check on Dodson Ave. No suspicious or criminal activity observed. 0156 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at C-Street. 0221 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at 109 Gloria Ave. 0255 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check on Plummer Dr. 0301 hrs. Officer responded to 114 S. Talbot St. in reference to an alarm staff were on scene and advised it was accidental. 0825 hrs. Officers responded to the area of 703 New Ln. in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined that it was the same individual that officers had dealt with the night before. Through investigation the subject’s doctor was contacted. The doctor determined that a psychiatric evaluation was needed. A petition was filed. Officer detained the subject and transported him to Easton memorial for evaluation. IR completed. 1205 hrs. Officer completed paperwork as SMPD in reference to a case. 1212 hrs. Public Works turned in keys to officer that were found in a town trash can. The vehicle was located, and the keys were returned to the owner. 1343 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol in the area of the Harbor and Talbot St.

1436 hrs. Officer located a dog running down Seymour Ave. The owners were located and educated of town leash ordinances. 1442 hrs. Officer responded to the area of Mulberry St in reference to a violation of executive order. No violations observed. No crime committed. 1931 hrs. Officers conducted a follow-up and interview regarding a past assault. 2340 hrs. Officer assisted TCSO on a traffic stop at Talbot and E Chew. 0045 hrs. Officer conducted follow-up investigation and report writing for a case. 0202 – 0523 hrs. Officer conducted follow up investigation regarding a past assault. Officer responded to Green Street to measure the decibels of the church bells. 1536 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at 300 Mill Street. 1600 hrs. Officer dropped off tags at the MVA, picked up a summons from the commissioner at district court and met with task force in reference to police information. 2009 hrs. Officer completed speed camera daily log. August 4 0653 hrs. Officer responded to St. Michaels Elementary School for an alarm. A perimeter check was completed, and all doors were secure. Responders were notified however, there was no response. The alarm was reset. 0730 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at 300 Mill Street. No issues. 0730 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at 304 Mill Street. Minor flooding in the parking lot. 0732 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Mitchell Street. No issues. 0834 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Harbor Inn. 0834 hrs. Officer responded to New Lane for debris in the roadway. Numerous trees branched obstructed the roadway. Officer removed the debris by hand. 0850 hrs. Officer assisted town maintenance with shutting numerous roads down due to flooding. 0943 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Marea Terrace. No issues. 1032 hrs. Officer responded to North Street for a tree down on a house. It was confirmed a tree was down however, it did not hit any houses. The tree was not blocking the roadway and there were no signs of smoke or fire. The appropriate resources were notified for tree removal. 1047 hrs. Officer responded to W Chestnut for a tree down on a house and wires with fire. The tree collapsed on power lines causing electrical surges to transform on the ground and started a

fire. Fire Department arrived on location along with other appropriate resources, contained the fire and cleaned up debris. Officer assisted with road closures and traffic direction. 1100 hrs. Officer collected cones and re-opened numerous roads. 1108 hrs. Officers responded to Carpenter Street for tree down on a car and power wires down. Officer remained on scene, established a safe perimeter, and notified the appropriate resources. Officer notified businesses and residents in the area of the hazard. 1221 hrs. Officer responded to New Lane for a downed stop sign. Appropriate resources were notified. 1400 hrs. Officer completed monthly paperwork at SMPD. 1719 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at 933 Talbot Street. 1745 hrs. Officer observed a stop sign down at Mitchell Street and Talbot Street. Appropriate resources were notified. 1910 hrs. August 5 0800 hrs. Officer conducted follow up investigation to a case at SMPD. 0948 hrs. Officer conducted community policing at WECI radio station. 1026 hrs. Officer received a call at SMPD in reference to a MVCPD in front of 929 S. Talbot St. No injuries and information were exchanged. 1051 hrs. Officer assisted TSO in reference to a check welfare at 201 E. Maple and 403 S. Talbot St. 1108 hrs. Officer, while assisting TSO at 403 S. Talbot St. upon entering the building detected a strong odor of gas and there were several open flames on a stove in the kitchen. Officer verified that no one was inside and SMFD responded. Talbot St. northbound was temporarily shut down for safety. The building was ventilated and propane tanks on site were shut off. The health department and gas company were advised of the situation. 1313 hrs. Officer received a complaint from a citizen in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the area of 105 W. Maple Ave. The vehicle was located, and the driver advised that he was a contractor working on a nearby house. No crime committed. 1840 hrs. Officer conducted follow up on a case at SMPD 2316 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check on Dodson Ave. No crime afoot. 2322 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check a patrol check on Mulberry St. No suspicious activity observed. 0132 hrs. Officer received a complaint from a citizen in reference a suspicious vehicle in the area of 107 Glory Ave. The vehicle was located, and the driver advised he was visiting a family member. No crime committed. 0349 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Maritime Museum. 0409 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check in the area of New Ln. and Marengo St. 0524 hrs. Officer completed speed camera daily log. August 6 0844 hrs. Officer conducted follow up investigation on a case at SMPD in reference to serving a criminal summons. Officer contacted Howard County Police in reference to a summons service.

Officer faxed the summons over as requested and also contacted Montgomery County Detention Center to see if the suspect was still being held. Suspect was released on an unsecure bond. 0944 hrs. Officer conducted a follow-up in reference to a noise complaint on Mulberry Street. 1009 hrs. Officer responded to Yacht Club Road for a subject locked out of her vehicle. Officer gained access in the vehicle and returned the keys to the owner. 1030 hrs. Officer responded to Mill Street for a pole on fire. Officer arrived on scene and confirmed the fire and shut Mill Street down until Fire Department contained the fire. Choptank was also dispatched. The fire was contained, and all units cleared. Choptank remained on scene to rehabilitate the power. 1327 hrs. Officer conducted vehicle maintenance in Easton, MD. 1715 hrs. Officer dropped off Validations to Talbot Center. 2022 hrs. Officer found a credit card in the area of Mulberry Street and Water Street. Owner was identified and notified. Subject picked up his property at SMPD with proof of identity. 0818 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol on Talbot Street. 0819 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol at the Maritime museum. 0827 hrs. Officers responded to the Riverwood Apartments for a Domestic Disturbance. Case filed. 1005 hrs. Officer completed report writing at SMPD in reference to a case. 1100 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol on Talbot Street and made contact with numerous business owners in reference to the new mask ordinance. Most business owners stated tourists have been very compliant with wearing masks and have had little to no issues. 1216 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Griffin Dr. 1234 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Dodson Av. No issues. 1243 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at St. Mary’s Square. 1332 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the YMCA. 1332 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at St. Michaels Schools. 1352 hrs. Officer handled a phone complaint in reference to boaters illegally docking their boats, playing loud music, dancing, gathering a large crowd without masks, consuming alcohol and operating the vessels, on Cherry Street and the Crab Claw yesterday and today. Officer responded to Cherry Street in reference to the complaint and did not observe any of these activities taking place. Officer advised the complainant that we would conduct more patrol checks in the area and notify DNR. Officer contacted DNR in reference to the complaint. Supervisor assisted officer.

1417 hrs. Officer conducted community policing in speaking with kids and handing out ice cream cards. 1546 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Marea Terrace. 1550 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol in the St. Michaels business park and left partnership door hangars after checking for unsecure doors. No issues to report. 1613 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of Perry Cabin Park. 1618 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Harbor Inn. 1624 hrs. Officer was flagged down by a concerned citizen and advised that people are not abiding by the executive order of face coverings and maintaining 6 feet social distance on Talbot Street. The subject advised they have and will be contacting the health department and the governor in reference to the violation of the executive order in St. Michaels. The subject was very irate in expressing their concern. Officer conducted foot patrol on Talbot Street in reference to this complaint. Numerous violations were observed and officer gave friendly reminders and educated the citizens of the new executive order in place. All citizens were compliant. 1700 hrs. Officer met with two subjects in the SMPD lobby in reference to lost keys. It is a silver jeep key (no fob) with a small silver key, on a red safety clip. The subjects were on foot shopping on Talbot Street and was parked on Fremont Street. If found contact Secretary to Chief of Police, Tiffany Sweeney or refer to the lost property email. 1747 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of Marina. 2148 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Harbor Inn. 2157 hrs. Officer and supervisor assisted TSO with an assault on Miles Ln. 2231 hrs. Officer responded to Talbot St. for reckless operation of a vehicle. 1750 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of the YMCA. 1851 hrs. Officer responded to Martingham and Rt. 33 for debris on the roadway. 1851 hrs. Officer responded to Brooks Ln in reference to an animal complaint. The residents were advised to contact Talbot County Human Society in the morning in reference to adopting a stray cat. 1919 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol in the area of the harbor. 0022 hrs. Officer responded to Cherry St. for a parking complaint. 1724 hrs. Officer responded to S. Talbot St. due to a resident locked out of her house. Key one was notified and responded. 1844 hrs. Officer assisted a citizen at SMPD in reference to an assault that occurred on Sunday and was handled by TSO. Officer took the subject to the commissioner’s officer. 2031 hrs. Officer conducted a check welfare on a subject in a wheelchair in front of the firehouse.

Patient was treated and transported to Easton Memorial Hospital. 1036 hrs. Officer conducted an administrative assignment. 1112 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at 710 Talbot Street. 1133 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Spencer Ave. A subject was observed in the area and appeared to under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, sprinting up and down the sidewalk. Subject was okay. 1256 hrs. Officer assisted Talbot County Sheriff’s Office with locating a disoriented subject. Subject was located and transported to Easton memorial Hospital. Subject’s family was notified as well as Social Services. 1300 hrs. Officer completed report writing at SMPD in reference to a case.

1427 hrs. Officer assisted Talbot County Emergency Services with an unconscious subject at Awful Arthur’s. Subject was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital. 1527 hrs. Officer conducted a follow-up investigation in reference to a case and attempted to serve a summons. 1659 hrs. Officers attended the swearing in ceremony for the Town of St. Michaels Commissioners at 300 Mill Street. 1722 hrs. Officer was advised to be on the lookout for a reckless operation and advised the subject was possibly intoxicated coming into town. Officer patrolled the area in an effort to locate the vehicle. The vehicle was observed pulling into the iron mill parking lot. 1158 hrs. Officer conducted a traffic stop and was given consent to search. Upon the vehicle search, open alcohol containers and unidentified pills were located and seized. Subject was release from scene on numerous charges. 1342 hrs. Officer completed report writing in reference to a case and packaged evidence. 1634 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Griffin Dr. 1635 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Dodson Ave. No issues. 1646 hrs. Officer assisted Talbot County Emergency Services with an intoxicated subject. The subject was given a ride home. 1754 hrs. Officer gave out ice cream cards to kids on Fremont Street and Mulberry Street. 1637 hrs. Officer conducted a traffic assignment at the intersection of E. At that time both were told to leave the property immediately. One of the males began yelling obscenities causing a disturbance. The male attempted to flee from officers and was arrested nearby.
