A membership is required to register for programs or to participate in our drop-in activities. Our MandateTo provide a wide variety of social, recreational and educational programs. The Friendship Centre embraces a holistic approach in serving the needs of adults and those with differing abilities, working closely with Home Support Services, Recreation and Mobility Services.

Day TripsThe Friendship Centre in partnership with Great Canadian Holidays offers a variety of trips through- out the year. Our trips are chosen to appeal to a variety of interests.

Examples of trips include: casino, dinner theatre and show, sight seeing, etc. Our volunteer travel club committee is always looking for new ideas of places to see.

In addition to our day trips, our committee plans one overnight trip a year (either within Canada or to the United States).

Programs Over 30 to choose from!The key to a longer, healthier life is staying active both physically and mentally. The Friendship Centre is host to a variety of programs and activities to suit everyone’s interests and levels of ability. Whether you are an “old pro” or a beginner, take a look at what we have to offer.

We have programs such as: • Ballroom dancing• Belly dancing• Yoga• Learn how to play Wii™• Beginner guitar• Taoist tai chi• Stained glass• Carpet bowling

Shareyourexpertise! The Friendship Centre is always looking for innovative program ideas and instructors. If you have a hobby or interest that you would like to teach others, please contact the Friendship Centre.

Tuck Shop LunchesWhere else can you find an affordable lunch like this with a great atmosphere? The Friendship Centre has a soup and sandwich lunch every Friday from 11am to 12:30pm. Bring your friends, neighbours and guests to enjoy a healthy and delicious lunch with us!

Soup, sandwich, coffee or tea, and dessert is only $6.00. You are not required to sign up, just drop in and join us every Friday. You won’t be disappointed.

Celebration PackagesYou must be a current member of the Centre to take advantage of this opportunity. Celebrate your birthday, anniversary, retirement and more at the Friendship Centre!

Packages include: linens, place settings, cake, coffee/tea/juice, entertainment (additionalfee), one centerpiece, sign in book for guests.
