COME TO ADORATION The best time you will spend on

earth !

Come with me by yourselves to a

quiet place and rest. Mk 6:31

We are never alone, especially when we are

in Adoration. Our guardian angels and patron saints are delighted to see the souls

entrusted to their care come into the presence of the Eucharistic Lord. In fact,

when you go to Adoration, you give a special gift to your guardian angel. Their

whole mission is to bring your soul to Jesus.

Well, we come into the presence of Jesus at

every Holy Hour! Take a minute in Adoration to thank your angel for their

prayers and their constant, steadfast help,

and maybe even offer a prayer for their intentions.

In the Garden of Gethsemani, before His cruci-

fixion, Jesus asked His Apostles,

“ Could you not keep watch with me for one

hour?”

Spending one hour with Jesus thus

became a tradition in the Church.

Mercy for our loved ones and all the souls in purgatory.

Every First Friday of the month we will begin Devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 5:30 p.m.

Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

In the Gospel today we see how Jesus sent his

Apostles out two by two. From the beginning of the

Society of St. Vincent de Paul, members visit in

pairs “two by two”, those who are poor and needy in

their homes. It is there, in the family setting,

Vincentians listen, offer humble advice, and render

assistance. Have you considered answering the call to help

serve the poor by joining the Society of St. Vincent

de Paul?

The missionaries will continue their journey to St Mary’s in New Mexico. They are currently in a six year Diocesan cycle, this being Year 2 – The Apostles’ Creed; next, Year 3 – Sacraments, Year 4 - Commandments, Year 5 -The Virtues, and Year 6 - Prayer and the Our Father.
