ONGOING AND UPCOMING COLLECTIONS CATHOLIC SHARING APPEAL

The second chapter of Paul’s letter to the Philippians contains one of the most moving and beautiful sketches of Christ’s mission and person. Our purpose is to imitate his actions by caring for and helping others. Supporting the needs of others through the Catholic Sharing Appeal helps us participate in the mission of Christ.

OPERATION RICE BOWL HUNGERING TO BUILD COMMUNITY

We follow Jesus this week on our Lenten journey as he enters Jerusalem, a community he knew well. CRS Rice Bowl asks us to prayerfully enter into our own communities, to find those who are hungry and thirsty, those who need our help. How does our Lenten journey motivate us to serve those we encounter in our daily lives?

GOOD FRIDAY COLLECTION Pope Francis has asked our parish to support Christians in the Holy Land. Through the Good Friday Collection, you join with Catholics around the world to stand in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land. When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you become an instrument of peace in a troubles land. In these challenging times in the Middle East, your support means that our church will conduct parish ministry, provide Catholic education, feed the hungry, build housing for Christians, maintain shrines and operate refugee centers in the Holy Land. Christians, along with all of the clergy and religious who serve in the Holy Land, will deeply appreciate your prayers and financial help! The political, religious and military challenges in the Holy Land are more complex than ever. The wars, unrest and instability have been especially hard on Christians. Our parish will support Christians in the Holy Land through the Good Friday Collection, as requested by Pope Francis. Like Simon of Cyrene, you can help carry the cross under very difficult circumstances in the Holy Land. PLEASE BE GENEROUS! For more info about Christians in the Holy Land, visit www.myfranciscan.org/good-Friday.

Women's Cursillo April 7-10, 2016 The Cursillo weekend is for Catholics who are looking to enrich their faith and prayer life, as well as learn how to live a life of fullness in grace. For

Vocations Chalice Program If you would be interested in helping to create a Vocations Chalice Program for our parish please contact Katherine Lingenfelder for more information.

Please join us for a special Adoration/Benediction/Reconciliation Service on Palm Sunday, March 20th from 6:15-7:30.

I am not sure how many of you have participated in a Life Teen Adoration Service but I can tell you it can be an amazing, uplifting and cleansing experience. Last year I have wanted to give all of our parishioners an opportunity to experience the awesome power of God’s grace and mercy through one of these special services. We had a great turnout and hope to have even more of you join us this year. Father Dominic will start off our service with Benediction and Exposition of the Holy Eucharist. Father Dominic and other priests will be available for confession. A special guest will lead us through prayer and reflection and our Life teen band will lead us through adoration and worship though music. What better way to prepare our hearts, minds and souls for Holy Week then to spend time with our Lord in repentance, prayer, reflection, and adoration? We hope that you will join us and welcome you to invite anyone you may know to join us as well!!! I am looking forward to spending a beautiful evening with you all! God Bless- Cherie

Children's choir will practice Wednesday, March 23rd from 5:15-6:00 in the church. They will sing Easter Sunday at the 11:00 AM Mass.
