Diacono Pedro Gonzalez . . ` Sharing God’s Blessings: If you have not yet made a pledge to the Sharing God’s Bless-ings Annual appeal, there is still time. ` LENT IS HALF WAY: “Rejoice!”
Let us joyfully double our prayer life and exercise Spiritual and Corporal works of mercy. Let us attend Mass and feed ourselves as often as we can on the Eucharist; let us spend time in Jesus’ Eucharistic presence, receive Grace, and serve the Lord humbly. Here are Corporal works of mercy to engage in: feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, ransom the captive and bury the dead. Our Spiritual Works of mercy will include: Instructing the ignorant, counseling the doubtful, admonishing the sinner, bearing wrongs patiently, forgiving offenses willingly, comforting the afflicted and praying for the living and the dead. Let us run the race to the finish line.
YOUTH MINISTRY If you are interested in our youth group please contact John
Moncada: [email protected]
YOUTH CORNER. The familiar parable of the prodigal son
is Jesus’ response to the Pharisees and Scribes who are scan-dalized that Jesus shares meals with tax collectors and sin-ners. As the father welcomes both of his sons to the feast, God draws us together, saints and sinners in need of mercy, in the Eucharist we share. As you share meals with others this week, consider how these meals are opportunities to strength-en relationships and foster hospitality.
