Dear Parishioners,
I want to let everyone know that Mario Delgado has resigned from his position
as Director of Evangelization in our Pastorate. He has been having health
concerns and has been on a sick leave. It was hoped that at the end of the sick
leave he would be able to return to work. However last week he informed me
his doctors advised him to not return to work.
I am currently looking for a replacement Director of Evangelization. If you know
of someone or are interested yourself please let me know and I can get you a
job description to begin the discussion.
Sincerely,
Queridos feligreses,
Atentamente,
2

Stewardship Prayer Corner Today’s second reading warns that a heart consumed with
avarice and envy leads to jealousy, strife, conflicts and disputes. A
giving heart, in contrast, can sing instead with the Psalmist,
“Freely will I offer you sacrifice; I will praise your name, O Lord, for
its goodness.”

Cursillo 3-Day Weekend Cursillo is a movement of the Catholic Church that
promotes Catholic ideals, fellowship, and spiritual
growth in daily living. It provides an opportunity to
deepen your Catholic faith, and to experience the
love of God within a supportive and prayerful community. The
Cursillo is a method of giving a personal encounter with Christ
and the means to further enhance, support, and spread the
Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelizing our environments.
The Catholic Cursillo Movement is hosting an upcoming weekend
encounter for Men, Sep. 30 – Oct. 5. We are sorry that the
Women’s Weekend is filled for this year. For more information,
please contact Dave & Beth Doran at 765-891-2704 or Mark &
Becky Scheller at 317-733-4184. Applications, and more
information are also available online at www.cursillo-cicc.org.

The growth of the Hispanic community in the

must fulfill her calling and position herself to meet
the pastoral needs of the Hispanic community in our midst. This
roadshow presents a strategy to help the diocese be more
responsive in her mission to the Hispanic community while growing
competencies to promote authentic unity in our pastorates.

Reflection:
In today’s Gospel Jesus called the Twelve,
and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first,
he shall be the last of all and the servant of
all.” Taking a child, he placed it in their midst,
and putting his arms around it, he said to them,
“Whoever receives one child such as this in my name,
receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but
the One who sent me.”
Your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will help
hungry children feel the arms of Jesus around them.
Focus th is Week: Canned Tune in Water (5 oz cans)
Deluxe Mac & Cheese (14 oz box)
Please leave donations in the box under the pamphlet rack.
