St. Leonard Apartments- Day of Service

• St. Leonard Apartments at 52 Wilson Ave is the largest of five buildings in Catholic Charities of Brooklyn & Queens’ Family Housing portfolio providing affordable housing for 82 families. Originally St. Leonard’s Church, the building was totally renovated and converted into affordable housing for families.

• The building, located in Bushwick, has the biggest green space in the area providing a wonderful oasis for the residents. However, the maintenance can be overwhelming for the building staff, so we have been asked to help the building staff and residents clean and renovate the property to enhance their enjoyment and simplify the ongoing maintenance.

• No experience is necessary – just the desire to lend a hand and enjoy the day while spending some time with other Notre Dame alumni & students. We’ll be digging gardens, weeding, laying down mulch and planting flowers.

• Where: 52 Wilson Ave, Bushwick, Brooklyn (short walk from L Train Stop – see next page)
