Annual AppealServing over 1,000,000 Catholics, the mission of the Archdiocese of Atlanta is to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord, and grow all of North and Central Georgia in faith, hope, love, and ser-vice to others. Together, we are God’s hands and feet, sharing God’s compassion and mercy, and demon-strating that “You are the Light of the World.”

Your gift to the 2020 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal helps makes it possi-ble by supporting the ministerial, outreach, education, formation and discipleship work of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Please give prayerful con-sideration to your level of support to help fund the essential ministries and services supported by the Appeal. The goal for the 2020 appeal is $8,500,000 and the goal for our parish is $164,100.00. To learn more about the appeal, and to donate online, visit archatl.com/appeal. You may also access this from our parish website.

The registration fee is $25 per child.

Honesty - The Eighth Commandment: Honesty is something we all want from each other, so we should also strive to be honest with the people in our lives. The com-mandment we are learning about today in Edge calls us to uphold what is true and not share information that is not ours to share. In many ways, following this com-mandment helps us build solid and healthy relationships with the people in our lives.

Around The Archdiocese

Parish Verification Forms for Catholic Schools are used by all archdiocesan Catholic Schools for admissions, and then again every year for tuition purpos-es. The following describe “active” Cath-olics as: (1) registered in the parish; (2) participating regularly at Mass on Sun-days and Holy Days, evidenced by use of offertory envelopes or on-line giving; (3) are committed and active in parish Time opportunities & Talent opportunities, evidenced by parish records; (4) are con-tributing to the current year Archbish-op’s Annual Appeal. Those who do not meet these criteria are considered “registered but not-active,” and are not eligible, according to the schools, for discounted tuition. This Fiscal Year St. Lawrence Parishioners give $187,000.00 to support Archdiocesan Catholic School Education; and so we all want the Catho-lic School Families of St. Lawrence to be truly committed members actively unit-ed among us in our Parish's mission.
