The Epiphany Of The Lord
We celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany, in which the three wise men bring gifts to the Baby Jesus. Let us follow the example of those wise men and bring the gift of ourselves to
the Savior of the world. Christ is yearning for us to be with him whole and entire, without clutter!
Let us continue to pray for one another in the spirit of this Christmas season. May the love of the Baby Jesus always and forever be in our hearts as we continue to build up the
kingdom of God here in Rosedale and Laurelton.
Have a great week, and Happy New Year

************************************************************************************ MESSAGE FROM THE NYC DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & MENTAL HYGIENE
The number of COVID-19 cases is rapidly increasing in New York City, and all New Yorkers should remain
vigilant about adhering to public health guidance. To further protect people who are most at risk for severe COVID-19, the NYC Department of Health advises adults over 65 and people with certain
underlying health conditions, as well as household members and caregivers of these people, to:
• Limit activities outside their home, except leaving home to travel to work or school or for essential purposes including medical care, grocery shopping or pharmacy necessities. • Avoid public spaces and gatherings. • Wear a face covering at all times indoors and outdoors, including around household members who
have symptoms of COVID-19, a known exposure to someone with COVID-19, or frequent in-person interaction with the public. • Stay home if sick except for essential medical care, including testing for COVID-19. • Wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and avoid touching their eyes,
nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
Additionally, you should maintain routine health care for any chronic health conditions and obtain any necessary vaccinations. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, contact your health care provider. If you are
experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
A full list of conditions that may increase the risk of severe illness can be found at cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/people-with-medical-conditions.html.
For more information about COVID-19, visit nyc.gov/health/coronavirus.
******************************************************************************* PARKING ISSUES AROUND THE CHURCH
We ask everyone’s cooperation when parking cars around the church on Sunday mornings. Please do not block our neighbors’ driveways or block each other in the parking lots, you never know when an
emergency might arise and someone has to leave right away.
******************************************************************** BULLETIN ADVERTISERS.
We are grateful to those merchants and businesses that support our weekly bulletin by placing an ad. We ask all parishioners to patronize these
merchants and anyone is welcomed to take an advertisement by calling the Bulletin Company (631)249-4994.

CHURCH ENVELOPES
Because of Covid-19, DP Murphy (our Church Envelope company) had a reduction of staff and some closures. The company asks to please bare with them if you have not received your envelopes, they hope to have this rectified as soon as possible. If you need envelopes please come to the Rectory and pick up
some of the Welcome envelopes that can be used.
Lastly, please mark your offering amount on the front of the envelope each week. Thank you for your cooperation and generosity to St. Clare Parish.

THE MISSION STATEMENT OF ST. CLARE PARISH
COME AND ENCOUNTER THE LIVING CHRIST WITH US
************************************************************************************ A WARM WELCOME
If you are new to our parish please feel free to introduce yourself to one
of the Priests or Deacons after Mass today. We kindly invite you to come to the Parish Office and register to be a parishioner of St. Clare.
Registration is important for all parishioners because then we are able to issue sponsor letters for Baptism, Confirmation and Matrimony.
We can give end of the year statements of your contributions to the church, through regular use of the envelopes, and also help you with letters of recommendation for employment, school, etc. Your
registration will help us with our parish census in knowing the number of Catholics in the Rosedale/Laurelton and surrounding areas.
To our registered parishioners, we are updating our database at this time. Please know that if you have
not used your envelopes for the past 6 months to 1 year we will unfortunately have to change your status to “Inactive” and will no longer send envelopes. If at any time you want your status changed back
to an “Active” registered member and receive envelopes again, please contact the Rectory office.
As always, Thank You for your continued generous support.
**************************************************************************** VIRTUS / SAFE ENVIRONMENT
The Parish of St. Clare complies with all SAFE ENVIRONMENT MANDATES set forth by the
Diocese of Brooklyn and the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. All ministry members who have contact with children must attend a Virtus session, sign a code of conduct and submit to a background search. If
you need to register for a Virtus session please contact the Rectory for more information. *************************************************************************************
