Transcript of St. Kevin's College Neat Streets
TEAM!
• Our Green Schools team have been working very hard to keep our school clean. This year we have been working with Neat Streets to help us to achieve our 1st Flag.
• There are over 13 hard working members ranging from 1st year to 5th year in the school.
• We all clean up the school, organise events and most importantly try to get our Green Flags & make real changes!
Some of the Team!
Our Members
Our members are mostly 1st year students because
most of them brought in ideas from their primary
schools. The members include: five 1st years, one
2nd year, two 3rd years, three TY’s, one 5th year.
We are very thankful to our two
leaders Ms Kenny and Mr Peavoy
and to our School Management.
Our meetings
• Our meetings take place after school on Wednesday. We take notes, share ideas and organise events.
• We keep the school informed by using our noticeboard & a page on our school website.

• Neat Streets has helped us to focus more on our Litter problem in the school.
• The TY students carried out a litter audit of the school for us & helped to identify problem areas.
• We then set up a Litter warden rota system. Everyday after school we send out litter wardens to clean the outside and inside of the school.
• Neat streets helped us to get more bins for the corridors.
• It also helped us to create nice posters and to get a proper banner for our noticeboard.
• It has helped us to achieve our 1st Green Flag.
Events
• On the 2nd of May we had a ‘Spring Clean’ with three 1st year groups, Robinson, O’Kelly and De Valera. We didn’t just clean the school but the local area also. We had great fun!
• The Gum Litter taskforce have also come to visit all 1st years & gave a very fun demonstration.
• On the 21st of February some of our Green Schools members attended a conference in An Taisce. We made posters, shared ideas and had a walking debate.
