Living Stewardship Now

The family became regular volunteers at the shelter. They continued to donate money every month along with household and personal items for the families, and gave their time to do chores and make friends. Be a

disciple and steward, and teach your children this way of life.

Question of the Week

How am I denying myself? What is the cross I am bearing at this point in my life? With the grace of God, am I willing to carry it?

Happy Birthday Mother Mary On Friday, September 7th, the preschool class celebrated Mother Mary's birthday. The students visited the statue of Mary in church and presented birthday cake drawings and flowers. Then they sang "Happy Birthday" to Mother Mary. This is one of many ways throughout the year Ms. Heldmann nurtures the faith formation of our youngest learn-ers.

Technology Donation Many parish and school families will remember former principal of HFCS, Chris Tiri-tilli. Currently Mr. Tiritilli is the principal of St. Mary of Gostyn School in Downers Grove where new 1:1 devices were purchased for their students. Knowing the needs of HFCS, Mr. Tiritilli donated 75 gently used Microsoft Surface Tablets to our school. They had been used for only 3 years! We are very grateful to Mr. Tiritilli and St. Mary's for their generosity and are anxious to get the tablets into the hands of our stu-dents. Thank you Mr. Tiritilli!

Seeking Leadership Council Members The school administration is looking for individuals who are dedicated to the future vitality of Holy Family Catholic School to join the Leadership Council. The main fo-cus of the Leadership Council is Marketing, Enrollment and Retention. Members are involved in plan community events and advising the principal. Meetings will be held once a month on the 3rd Tuesday. Serving on the Council can be a personally fulfilling experience and does not require any specific background or skill set. The long term viability of Holy Family is depend-ent on future vision, creative thinking, and problem solving. I invite you to prayerfully consider how your unique gifts and talents may be utilized in service to our school. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. All those who are interested are asked to call or email Mrs. Kelly, the school principal, at 630-766-0116 ext. 803 or [email protected].
