As part of the week our school leaders will be represenng our school at the St Patrick’s day mass and concert this Thursday. Last night 36 of our Year 3 students received the Sacrament of Reconciliaon for the first me. The sacrament is another reminder of God’s love for us. I hope that these student’s connue to seek God’s forgiveness and love through this sacrament. HOLY WEEK This Sunday is Palm Sunday, the start of Holy Week. Holy Week remembers the last days of Jesus on earth as he prepared for his death and resurrecon at Easter. As a school we will be recalling these events at our Holy Week Prayer Service on Thursday March 24th at 12 o’clock in the church. All parents are most welcome to aend. HARMONY DAY Harmony Day is a day for all Australians to embrace cultural diversity and to share what we have in common. The central message for Harmony Day is that ‘everyone belongs’. At school we will be celebrang Harmony Day on Monday March 21st with a 10AM prayer service in the church followed by a shared morning tea. Students are invited to wear naonal dress or orange, the color of Harmony Day. All parents are most welcome to aend. TWILIGHT SPORTS The annual Twilight Sports are on this Friday, March the 18th at Central Reserve, Glen Waverley. All students are expected to arrive at 1PM for a 1:30 start. The sports will finish at approximately 5PM. As a school we value students parcipang in sporng acvies as they promote sportsmanship, team work and a love of sport. I look forward to seeing you all at the sports. SCHOOL BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM The most recent project, the planng of our new garden beds near the new basketball court, was completed last week and they look great. Thank you to Mrs Lewis for her selecon of plants and to the Garden Club students who helped with the planng. You all did a fantasc job. NEWS FROM THE P&F The Easter raffle will be drawn on Thursday march 24th. Please return to school all sold raffle ckets and money by this date. The next Sizzle Wizzle lunch is on Monday May 2nd. Informaon will be sent home early in Term 2. Families who donated Easter eggs for the raffle.
