BAPTISM / BAUTISMO Baptisms in English take place on the Sunday of the last Sunday of

the month at 2:30 p.m. during the following months: January,

March, May, July, September and November. Parents should call the Parish Office to arrange the Baptism. Parents are required to

attend a Pre-Baptism Class.

Welcome to the 2014-2015 School Year!

Registration for Religious Education Classes is going

on Monday through Saturday in the Pastoral Office.

Anyone registering after September 8 will be charged

a late fee of $20. If you are registering your child in

our program for the first time, and your child was

baptized in another parish please bring your child’s

baptismal certificate. The fee for the year is $60 for

the first child and $20 each for every additional

child. Payment is requested upon registration.

耶穌第一次預言自己上耶路撒冷去蒙難，是緊接在祂稱

讚伯多祿得到天父的啟示，並在他身上要建立教會之後。

可是伯多祿在我們今天所讀的福音中，卻勸諫耶穌，因而

受到嚴厲的責斥。其實，如果我們反省一下，大概很容易

發現，伯多祿的經驗往往也是我們一般基督信徒的經驗。

在我們的信仰生命中，時而非常光明，認清耶穌基督的

身分與使命，而且深深地愛祂，願意跟隨祂。這時我們內

心中一股神聖的力量，推動自己的信仰生活。這真是耶穌

所說的，體驗了天上的事，或者如同伯多祿一般蒙受天父

的啟示。不過我們不是沒有黑暗的時間，封閉在自我的領

域中，貪求的是現世的生命，再也提不起精神嚮往耶穌基

督。這也是耶穌所說的體驗人的事。今天福音中，耶穌斥

責伯多祿之後的訓話，便是指導我們怎樣摒棄人的事，而

追求天主的事。耶穌的話含有三層意義，並不是很深的大

道理，卻是非常實際的靈修途徑。

第一層意義是積極的：當我們經驗到心靈的黑暗，貪求

人的事時，必須堅持信仰，死心塌地維護跟隨基督的初

衷。這個態度並非易事，往往應該加強祈禱，才能勝過困

難，繼續基督信徒的生活。這便是耶穌所說的，捨棄自

己，背著十字架跟隨祂。

第二層意義是消極的：當我們為世上的幸福，暫時的成

功，這一類人的事所挑撥得心動，而想放棄基督信徒的理

想時，耶穌教導我們想起永恆的生命，冷靜地比較一下。

世上暫時的幸福與成功，往往轉瞬便成為明日黃花，怎能

與永恆生命相比呢？假使失去了永恆，人生還有甚麼意義

呢？

第三層意義可說是綜合性的：我們現世捨棄自己，背著

十字架跟隨耶穌，那麼永世要得到天父的賞報，不受永

罰，這種賞罰的說法，是耶穌為一般聽眾常用的，也是最

容易了解的說法。的確，我們跟隨耶穌是為愛祂，不是為

尋求賞報。不過如果我們知道所謂永遠的賞報，實在不是

別的，只是永遠地愛祂，與祂永存在天父的愛中，那麼誰

若為了得到這個賞報而跟隨耶穌，實在也無不可。這並非
