THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

FR. BILL’S NOTES-

My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in the Holy Trinity,

This weekend, we celebrate the first of four Solemnities in Ordinary Time: Most Holy Trinity Sunday. It is the day that we

honor and give glory and praise to the Three Divine Persons in One God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God the

Father is the First Divine Person of the Most Holy Trinity and He is the Creator; He constantly creates all persons, places, and things that

are good and good for us. God the Son is the Second Divine Person of the Most Holy Trinity and He is the Savior or Redeemer; He took

on a human nature while not losing His Divine Personhood and Divine Nature and reopened the Gates of Heaven by His Passion, Death,

Resurrection, and Ascension into Heaven. God the Son is who will judge us when we die and He will return in all His glory to judge the

living and the dead at the end of time. In His human nature, He sits at the right hand of God the Father. He obeys the will of God the

Father perfectly. He also founded the Church while He was on earth and He is the Invisible Head of the Church. God the Holy Spirit

(also known as God the Holy Ghost) is the Third Divine Person of the Most Holy Trinity; He is the Sanctifier or the one who makes

people, places, and things holy. God the Father and God the Son sent Him upon the 120 in the Upper Room at Pentecost (which we

celebrated last weekend) and He guides and protects the Church until the end of time. He comes upon us in the Holy Sacraments and He

guides the Teaching Authority of the Church (the Magisterium or the Bishops in union with the Pope in every age of the Church). He has

inspired Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition (also known as the Deposit of the Faith) so that the Truths of the Faith (all matters of

Faith and Morals) remain unchangeable and unchanging until the end of time. We should give all hail and honor to the Most Holy

Trinity!

The next two Sundays are going to be quite eventful at our Parish. Next weekend will be Corpus Christi or The Most Holy Body

and Blood of Christ. On Sunday, June 7th, at the 10:30 A.M. Holy Mass, we will have our annual Corpus Christi Procession on the

walkways and on Route 212 in the front of the Church. I wish to thank, in advance, the Saugerties Police for permitting us to have the

Procession route that we will be undertaking. The Gift Shop will be open for us next weekend and I want to thank Brian Kimlin and

Libby Salerno for that ministry they offer to all of us folks. At 2:00 P.M. next Sunday, June 7 th, we will have our first ever Ladies Tea

Social in the Church Hall; ALL LADIES OF THE PARISH ARE MOST WELCOME TO ATTEND IT! I wish to thank Judy Defino, in

advance, for spearheading this lovely parish event. Of course, in my next letter to you, I will have more to say about Corpus Christi

Sunday. On Sunday, June 14th (Flag Day) the 10:30 A.M. Holy Mass will feature a few wonderful items: the Anniversary Mass, the

Graduate/Family Mass, and the Beatitude Scholarships will be awarded. Those couples who are celebrating their 25 th and 50th Wedding

Anniversaries of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony will be able to renew their Marriage Vows at that Holy Mass between the Homily

and the Creed; it will be a real joy for me to lead them in that ceremony. After the Post Communion Prayer, we will be honoring the

recipients of the Beatitude Scholarships and any other graduates from whatever level of education they are completing. We hope to have

a reception for all of them after Holy Mass that day. Last, but not least, we conclude the month of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Motherhood

this weekend. It has been a great honor to remember to pray for all those mothers, living or deceased, in the infinite momentos of all of

our Holy Masses offered during the month of May.

This Monday, June 1st, is the beginning of the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I will pray for all fathers, living or deceased,

at the infinite momentos of all the Holy Masses offered in June. I impart my blessing upon all of you.

Sincerely, with prayers,

Father Bill Woodruff

MAKING ALL THINGS NEW

God our Father, through the Gospel and the Eucharist,

You bring us together as Your Church in the

Archdiocese of New York.

Send us Your Holy Spirit, to enlighten our minds and guide our actions

as we plan for the future of parish life in this Archdiocese.

Help us learn new ways to strengthen and revitalize our parish

communities, and to be good stewards of the spiritual and material gifts

that sustain them.

Bless our work, so that our parishes may continue to witness to the truth

of the Gospel, and be a sign of Your love for all people.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

—————————————

THESE BEAUTIFUL WORDS ARE LIKE THE

10 COMMANDMENTS TO FOLLOW IN LIFE A T ALL TIMES!

1—Prayer is not a “spare wheel” that you pull out when in trouble, but it

is a “steering wheel” that directs the right path throughout.

2—Why is a car’s ‘windshield’ so large and the ‘rear view mirror’ so

small? Because our past is not as important as our future. So look ahead

and move on.

3– Friendship is like a ‘book’. It takes a few seconds to burn, but it takes

years to write.

4– All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not

last forever. If going wrong, don’t worry, they can’t last long either.

5– Old friends are ‘gold!’ New friends are ‘diamond!’ If you get a

‘diamond’, don’t forget the ‘gold’! Because to hold a ‘diamond’, you

always need a base of ‘gold’!

6– Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, God smiles from

above and says, “Relax, sweetheart, it’s just a bend, not the end!”

7– When God solves your problems, you have faith in His abilities; when

God doesn’t solve your problems He has faith in your abilities.

8—A blind person asked St. Anthony, “Can there be anything worse than

losing eye sight?” He replied, “Yes, losing your vision!”

9– When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and

sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has

prayed for you.

10– Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s ‘troubles’, it takes away

today’s ‘peace’!
