The Family Life Office has infor-mation for the Pre Cana Classes required for couples preparing for marriage. There are two local Marriage Preparation Series Classes scheduled: One at OLV in State College on Thurs-day, June 2, 9 & 16 from 7:00—9:30 PM. And one here at St. John’s on Tuesday, October 4, 11 & 18 at 7:00—9:30 PM. The cost is $65 per couple which includes all sessions in a series. Preregistration is required. If you can’t attend these, other ses-sions are available in other locations in March, April, May and September. Sign up early since some series fill up months in advance. WEEKLY FINANCIAL REPORT FOR WEEKEND 03/13/2016

GOOD SHEPHERD TRADITIONAL SEDER MEAL Good Shepherd Church in State College will be having a Tradi-tional Seder Meal lead by Rabbi David Ostrich THIS Tuesday, March 22nd at 6:00 PM. It will be held at their new Church Hall at 867 Gray’s Woods Boulevard. For more information, call Good Shepherd Parish at 238-2110. K OF C ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST THIS SUNDAY! The Bellefonte Knights of Columbus will sponsor their monthly All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast this Sunday, March 20th at their Council Home on Stoney Batter. The Breakfast is served from 8:30 AM until Noon. This month they will be collecting food items for the local Food Bank. Anyone bringing in 5 cans or boxes of non-perishable, unexpired foods will receive a 50% discount on their meal. All proceeds will be used to buy additional food items that the Food Bank may need. The regular price for the breakfast is $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children under 12. Children 5 & under are Free. Come and enjoy a great breakfast prepared by our K of C members and help stock our local Food Bank. Remember also, our area Food Bank Pantries are continually in need of items for their shelves. They help to feed many of our local families in need throughout the year. Canned goods and boxes can be dropped off at anytime in the entrance of the church. This is one Corporal Work of Mercy that we can do throughout this Jubilee Year of Mercy. BELLEFONTE K OF C “A KNIGHT AT THE RACES” The Knights of Columbus event, “A Knight at the Races,” will be held on April 9th at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5:30 PM with post time for the first race at 6:15 PM. The cost of each horse is $15. Please contact Sam Brezler at [email protected] for more information. Please note that these sell out fast, so contact the Knights as soon as possible to purchase your horse. FIRE RALLY RETREAT There will be a FIRE Rally on Saturday, April 16 from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Ex-citing talks and prayer experiences to ignite the flame of the Holy Spirit in your life. Speakers include Fr. Jonathan St. Andre TOR; Bob & Marci Sutton; Sr. Linda LaMagna CCW; Msgr. Robert Mazur and Bishop Mark Bartchak. Music will be led by the Cathedral & St. Joan’s Charismatic Prayer Groups. The cost is $18. Students are free. Pre-registration is required. Lunch is provided. MEMORIALS & DONATIONS We have received our Diocesan Education Grant. These funds are a component of the Education Evangelization Assessment in our Diocese. Each parish contributes to this assessment and therefore, helps to support the ministry of Catholic education. Thank you to all parishioners for your support of Catholic educa-tion. We have also been awarded a $500 grant from the Independent Catholic Foundation to assist with some purchases to im-prove our marketing efforts. We are so appreciative of their support of Catholic education and we encourage parishioners to consider donations to the Independent Catholic Foundation For The Diocese of Al-toona-Johnstown. Thank you to all of our benefactors and God bless your generosity to and support of our school. CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS We are extremely grateful to the Catholic Daughters for their $400 donation that was used to provide a school-wide assem-bly, entitled “We Choose Respect.” The assembly was the perfect complement to our theme for this school year as we have learned about the character values of integrity, compassion, determination and respect. Our students and faculty found the presentation to be very entertaining and informative. Thanks again to the Catholic Daughters for their constant support of our students, school and Catholic education.
