Youth Ministry
SUNDAY SCHOOL - Sunday Mornings (9:45 a.m.)
Senior High: Room 125 & Junior High: Room 121
If you get to Sunday school early (or any youth event) - feel free to
hang out all together in the Youthatory (from the "Latin" for the
place between youth activities… or maybe that's not real... but that's
what we called it) or room 123. Please say THANK YOU to our
Trustees for helping us get our fancy closet so we can now fully
enjoy this room. Help us by keeping it clean and taking care of it :)
COMING SOON
Mandatory Meeting Saturday June 18, 7-9 pm This is more than
our usual packing of the vans, we will break into teams and get our
job assignments for the week. Missing this is not an option!!!!
You've known about this for MONTHS :) It will be worth your
time!
Mission Trip - Pirate Style!! Commissioning 11 o’clock service,
leaving 3:00 p.m.
Return from mission trip will be around lunch time on Friday,
June 24th.
Wildcard Wednesdays / CORE (7:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
Packing Party Need some volunteer hours? Want to come hang
out and be helpful? 7-8 we will be working on mission trip pre
packing. You do not have to be going on mission trip to come and
hang out with us :)
OTHER UPCOMING CHURCH / COMMUNITY EVENT: Do you know of anything? We are always looking for ways to plug
in to the church and community.
Mission Trip: June 19th - 24th
Saturday, June 18th - MANDATORY Mission Trip Meeting.
We will reveal teams, load vans, go over rules and there are no
excused absences. We will be leaving later on Sunday, so you can
celebrate Father's Day, but it means we MUST have EVERYONE
(ADULTS TOO!) ATTEND on SATURDAY

Merry Mixers
Open to all adults that meet for a potluck dinner, games and
fellowship. Please bring a potluck item to share. We would like to

Lake. Meet at the church to carpool at 6:00 p.m.

Mandatory Mission Trip meeting this Saturday. For those who are new to youth mission trips or just want a refresher, the tool training is from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Register for Vacation Bible School Now! Now you can sign your kiddos up for Vacation Bible School! The
registration forms will be located in the hallway. Please note: both

Looking for VBS Volunteers We are also looking for some volunteers to come and enjoy an
amazing week with all the kids. Volunteer forms are located in the
hallway along side the registration forms.
Sunday Morning for Kids Kids' Connection (9:45 a.m.) Children's Worship for K-5th grade.
We begin with worship in the Sanctuary then transition after the
Children's Message to the backroom.
Adventure Zone (11:00 a.m.) Rotation based classes for ages 3
(since last Sept 1) through 5th grade. We meet in room 127 then
break into groups for Bible study, craft, and games.

Ministry of the Month: SJA Library
Mandatory VBS volunteer meeting! June 26 - right after the 11:00 a.m. worship service, meet in room
127. Pizza and salad that will be served. If you are volunteering with
VBS this summer, you must be at this meeting! God’s greatest
work will be done through you.
We Need VBS Volunteers! Please volunteer to come help our
kids and enjoy an amazing week Volunteer forms are located in the
hallway along side the registration forms.
Donation needed for VBS: Children's ministry currently needs
empty plastic water bottles with the lids. Please make sure they are
clean and dry. You can place them in the boxes under the VBS
table. Please do not place items on Mrs. Lindsey's desk.
Find Your Next Bible Study in the Library! If you are a part of a small group or a Sunday School group, you can
find many DVD’s, leader guides and participant books in the SJA
Library. Each study is available to check out for the duration of your
study. There are full sets to just a single book to choose from. Click
here to see what the library currently has.
If your group chooses a Bible study from the SJA library and you
need more materials, you have two options:
1. Contact Linda Formagus at 817-468-8484, ext. 303 or
[email protected] and she can order the needed
quantities. If purchased through Linda, you must donate the
study materials to the SJA library.
2. If purchased by individuals or group and are paying for it
yourselves, then you keep the extra materials. (Donations of the
book is always appreciated, but it’s your book.)
Ulster Project
Ulster is coming to St John the Apostle Join us and cheer on the Amer ican and Nor thern Ir ish teens
in a friendly game of soccer! Friday, July 1st at 7:00 p.m. Come out
to St John the Apostle and learn about this great opportunity.
What is Ulster? Check out upatx.com and see how your son or
daughter can have the summer of their life in 2017!
Applications are being accepted to be a host family in 2017.

Coming Soon - Our Next Occasion Worship Service Mark your calendar! Our next Occasion Worship Service will be
Wednesday evening, June 29th at 7:00 p.m. We will have a theme
on patriotism and freedom with great music under the pavilion.
Dress for the heat and plan to stay for a pre-fourth of July cookout
on the patio. The church will provide cold drinks, baked beans,
potato chips and a grill for cooking. You provide your main course
for grilling, ie: hamburger patty, frankfurters, bratwurst, chicken and
appropriate bread or bun.
New Nametags! All volunteers (youth and adult) that work with our children or
youthies and have gone through the Ministry Safe training and/or
background check, have a new green name in the tag holder in the
hallway. Those of you who have gone through the proper steps/
training and don’t have a new green name tag, please contact
