SPORTS DAY

We were lucky to have fantastic weather for both our Infant Sports day and our Junior Sports day

and must thank Furness Academy for allowing us to use their track. The children took part in a

carousel of different activities, followed by a sprint race and a long distance race.

Finally for this academic year, a great big WELL DONE to all the children

who have represented St George's School Sports Teams this year.

We are proud to announce that for the second year running, we were

awarded the Primary School Team of the Year Award at the Furness

Academy Sports Awards 2018.

Keira and Abbie went along to collect our award on behalf of all our

sports Team children. Well done girls.

We are also proud to announce that we have once again achieved the GOLD School

Games Mark Award for the 2017/18 academic year. This is now our 4th successive

year in achieving the Gold Mark.

The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme to reward schools for

their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the

community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
