St GeorGe’S C of E Primary School SUMMER Term 2018 SPORTS REPORT
The Summer Term has been packed with competitions and personal challenges as we
all endeavour to get more active and physically fitter.
Cricket Coaching
We have used some of our Sports Funding this year to bring in Lee Hogg, a cricket
coach from Cumbria Cricket. He delivered 6 sessions to our Y4 and Y5 children.
The children worked hard and improved their cricket skills.
Mini Red Tennis
We entered three teams this year to the mini red tennis competition, held at Hoops.
The children played well and won plenty of matches.
Y3 Team
Y5 Tennis Finals at Ulverston
SPORTS DAY
We were lucky to have fantastic weather for both our Infant Sports day and our Junior Sports day
and must thank Furness Academy for allowing us to use their track. The children took part in a
carousel of different activities, followed by a sprint race and a long distance race.
