Low Acuity – Initially one device to manage

(i.e. just the vital signs monitor)– PPA is managed via barcode scan of patient ID

wristband. (option to manually select patient)– No scan of device required – device is identified

via serial connection to Neuron.

High Acuity– Many devices to manage, incl. wireless IV pumps.– PPA is managed via auto-detection of the patient

ID and devices using RFID upgrade of Neuron.– Workflow is optimized via prompted workflows for

nurse.
