“WHOSE IN THE PEWS?” All to often we presume all the folks in the pews on Sunday have received all their sacraments of initiation - Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation, and have had their

marriages blessed or validated in the Church. Many have not. They may be waiting for an invitation to complete their

sacraments they some how missed. These could be parents of children who have no affiliation with any faith but they are

married to a Catholic. They could be parents of children in our grade or high schools or in our religious education

program. What about those in our own family who again for one reason or another have not completed their sacraments.

Their sacrament reception is our business and is our opportunity to evangelize them. For more information about the RCIA process, please call the rectory at 845-227-8380.

There’s still time to apply for admission to SDSC for the 2016-17 school year!

Why invest in education for your child at SDSC?

* We have experience – Our teaching staff has years of experience in serving children and meeting their individual needs. We’ll do the same for your children.

* We have a track record of success – our graduates go on to succeed at some of the Hudson Valley’s best high schools, including Our Lady of Lourdes and Kennedy Catholic. This year, 9 full scholarships and 13 partial scholarships have been awarded to our 8th graders to private Catholic high schools of their choice.

* We have the area’s most comprehensive science program – Our LabLearner Science Center teaches our students how to conduct lab investigations beginning in Kindergarten. When the students grow into 8th Graders, they are using college level lab equipment.

* We build future leaders in the community – we work with our families to help their children become the persons God intends them to be.

Limited financial aid scholarships are still available. For more information, call 845-227-7777 or visit www.stcolumba.net.
