PRAYER BEFORE THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

I have come, my Lord, to be with You and to recall the great mystery of faith: Your true presence in the Holy Eucharist, the Bread of Life. I come to express sorrow for my sins; to make reparation for the sins of the whole world; to thank You for Your blessings and gifts, so many of which I take for granted; and to present to You my needs, my fears, and my desire for You to govern my life. I pray to the Holy Spirit to enlighten my mind with Your truth and to enkindle in my heart the fire of Your love. I ask our Blessed Mother to be with me as I visit You, her Divine Son. Lord, I may not be able to find all the words to express what is really in my heart. I may be distracted and perhaps feel a weariness. Regardless, I kneel in silence before You, knowing that You know my innermost thoughts and desires. I come to renew my personal love for You, and to rededicate my life to You. Please touch my heart and soul with Your peace. AMEN
