News from the Wheel-House“We become what we love and who we love shapes
what we become”. St. Clare of Asissi
Hello Dear,
God bless you and your family!
Probably you may be wondering why I have posted the above picture. There is a reason for it. We are all going through a rough and tough time as an individual person, as family, as community, especially as people of God. We wonder and get a doubt in our fear and anxiety whether there is a meaning in holding our faith (coming to the church, doing our prayers, attending Mass, lighting candles and making charities). But as I said in the last bulletin God continues to affirm us that He is there for us always, through nature, the powerful and encour-aging faith experiences offered to individuals, and above all through the Sacraments. Most of us know Ms. Elayna O’Neil one of our Faith Formation Teachers. She is also one of the survivors of COVID 19. She is the one who sent me the above picture to bear witness: how God is holding her in her owe and strengthening her and the family. I was deeply touched by her witness sharing and I am bringing this to you, who are reading this right now, to let you know that our God is an awesome God and offers His love and care to those who long and wait on Him. I tell you that even Jesus affirms this in Lk 4/25-27 25 “I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Eli-jah’s time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. And there were many in Israel with lep-rosy[a] in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.” Let us strengthen our faith in the Lord and continue to be His own people in our own, let us continue to love Him in our troubles like the widow of Zarephath, Naaman the Syrian and the people of our time like Elayna O’Neil that we may experience His love and care!

News from the Wheel-House
Recommendations of the Archdiocese as COVID-19 is spiking in our city:
1. To keep the track list of the people who are com-ing in to participate any liturgical services2. Asking the people to keep the mask on while in
the church.3. Receiving communion only in hand NOT in
tongue (if someone wants to receive, he/she is strongly encouraged to come to the priest after the Mass to have the Communion)4. Avoid socialization or congregating inside and
patio of the church. I am bringing this to you that we may have the safe
environment for worship. Kindly respect the safety of others. I thank and appreciate your cooperation and un-derstanding!
BIG THANKS: In this bulletin I want to say a big thanks for your love and support to our church. Last week one of our parishioners who had not been to the church for long time because of this pandemic brought all her missed days’ offertory and showed her love for our St. Anthony’s. Like her many are doing it. I greatly appreciate it and pray that God may reward for your faith and love of St. Anthony’s. I hear from Maryann, our business manager, that people have started to do the online offerings which is wonderful. I also thank and appreciate those who are doing it. God bless you all!
Here goes the bell calling me to go and hold the Wheel. Until I see you next weekend, I wish you all the best! Be sure of my prayers for you! Stay blessed!
Your administrator,Fr. Xavier

With this App you will be able to Donate your offertory, be able to pay for a candle that will be lit for you or even pay for a Community Mass or a daily Mass. You may also see our bulletins, Mass Schedules any new events that are coming up in our parish. So, please take a minute and scan it or take picture of it. We understand that this is something new to all of us, unfortu-nately this is going to be the new way for our Church to be able to communicate to all our parishioners and be able to stay a float in receiving the funds we need. The Church at this time is in a crisis due to the situation around the world, and will remain like this for a long period. We must be able to stay up with the new technology. So, please scan or take a picture of this App as soon as you can and hopefully we will all get through this difficult time together.
