Common Sense Approach to Illness Preven on With the cold and flu season continuing, we encourage common sense prevention strategies to lessen the likeli-hood of sharing illnesses. Please be considerate of others, and if you are feeling unwell, it is okay to bow to others at the sign of peace, refrain from receiving the precious blood of Christ, and even to stay home from Mass if you are ill (there are options to view Mass on TV in our viewing area). Please take precautions to ensure your own health and recovery, as well as that of others.

PRAYER CARDS IN THE PEWS This weekend you will find prayer cards in all the pews that have the name of a First Communion/Confirmation student on them. These students will be receiving these sacraments on Friday, April 3, at St. Anthony’s. Please take a prayer card and pray for that student, that they may continue to grow in God’s grace and holiness as they prepare to receive these sacraments. BETHANY HOMES TO DECIDE MASS EACH WEEK Bethany Homes on University Drive is currently restricting visitors as a way to lessen the likelihood of illness coming into their facility. Because of this, they cancelled all activities for last week, including their Friday Mass. If you typically attend or help with the Friday Mass at Bethany, please plan to call ahead to the St. Anthony’s Parish Office on Friday mornings for the next few weeks to see if Mass is still going to go forward. It will be decided on a week-by-week basis, dependent upon illness risk. Thank you for your understanding. LENTEN FISH DINNER Our St. Anthony’s Knights of Columbus members will again be serving up a delicious fish dinner this Friday, from 5:00-6:30 PM. On the menu is baked Pollock, deep fried Pollock, French fries, baked potatoes, macaroni and cheese, vegetables and dessert. The cost is just $10 for ages 13 and up, $6 for children 6-12 and children 5 and under are free. All are welcome! STATIONS OF THE CROSS Following the fish fry on Fridays during Lent, join us in the church for Stations of the Cross. We will begin at 6:30 PM. Let us each strive to make this the best Lent ever! GOD’S GIFT APPEAL Thank you to all of our parishioners who have made their gift to the 2020 God’s Gift Appeal. If you have not yet made a gift or pledge, please fill out a commitment card, located on the table in St. Francis Gathering Place or online at fargodiocese.org/godsgiftappeal. Thank you for your generosity! CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS TO MEET Court St. Ann #261 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas will meet Tuesday, March 10, at St. Anthony's beginning with Mass at 5:15 PM, with meal and meeting to follow at 6:30 PM. If interested in CDA, please join us at our meeting. Members are invited to bring food pantry donations. Call Lupita at 520-840-2418 with any questions. LITURGY COMMITTEE LOOKING FOR MEMBERS! The Liturgy Committee is looking for a few good people to join us. Do you have a special interest in what happens at Mass? Would you like to become more immersed in the liturgical year? Do you have a desire to learn more about the rich history and treasure trove of liturgical music, prayers, and practices? Are you interested in helping your fellow parishioners to go deeper at Mass, and to really experience the love of Jesus? If this is sparking interest for you, please contact Melissa through the Parish Office.

This meeting is for all current members and anyone who is interested in becom-ing a Man of the Cross. The Men of the Cross wear a Saint Benedict Crucifix for three reasons: 1. To remind us to pray more, 2. To remind us to act like Christians Disciples and 3. To bring Christ into our secular culture. Some of the old ways that we may have to struggle to leave behind might be materialism, selfishness and greed. Yet God promises to show us a new land and a better way to live. Remember what St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “God does not call us to be successful, God calls us to be faithful.”
