St. Ann School Mission Statement We at St. Ann School are guided by the Holy Spirit to provide an exceptional Catholic education for students spiritually, academically, physically, and socially. Our students and staff have went above and beyond for others, not only this week, but even going back to Thanksgiving (they have shared their talents, time, food, money, etc. to help others). This week our 2nd, and 3rd graders caroled for the residents of Green Acres. I personally, truly appreciate this as both my Mom and Mother-in-law have benefitted from this special event in previous years! Thanks also to our 7th graders for being great leaders for our School Liturgy on Wednesday. We concluded our busy week with a visit from The Grinch yesterday and a Christmas movie for each class today. I would like to wish all of our school families, along with our staff, a very blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year! I pray for good health, safe travel, and lots of fun and laughter for all of you! Please remember to celebrate the real reason we celebrate Christmas: the birth of our Savior, Jesus! School will resume on Thursday, January, 2nd. We have only 20 students signed up for the 10th Annual Catechism Bee, who will continue their preparation over the next several weeks leading up to the event on Tuesday, January 28. Mrs. Kamaloski has put the study packets on our website, Catechism Bee. It would be great if we could get a few more students to sign up, as we always have 30+ students participate! I would ask that you plan ahead for the upcoming KidFest, which is being held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 6:00-8:30. This event, which will cap off Catholic Schools Week will be a fun-filled event for our students (while also serving as a school fundraiser)! We will feature Bounce Houses in the gym, games in all the classrooms, and kid-friendly food for supper. Please check to see if you have signed up to work this event (you may access your sign ups at FACTS/RenWeb). This important event is just one of many fun events that we will be doing to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. Please follow the CSW calendar that will be attached to the January 10, 2020 newsletter for more information. Thank you to our anonymous school family who has agreed to sponsor the KidFest classroom games ($300)! I am still hoping for a Bounce House sponsor ($1,000). I appreciate the generosity of our St. Ann School families, not only financially, but in your volunteering at school, sharing your talents, etc.! I would ask that you continue to honor your Sacrificial Intent pledges or Tuition payments as we continue through the 2019-2020 school year. Your financial commitment, whether it is given weekly, monthly, or through a tax refund, is vital to the operations of our school. Thank you for your support of St. Ann School! What a great week it has been (three weeks for that matter)!
