IS $5.00 PER WEEK TOO MUCH TO ASK? We sincerely appreciate everyone’s financial

contributions to St. Albert Church, but as you can see, most

weeks our collections are under budget for the upkeep of

our parish. It is our view that we may be able to overcome

this shortfall if those who regularly place a $1.00 bill in the

collection basket would consider substituting it with a $5.00

bill instead. (Your total weekly contribution would

increase from 14 cents a day to only 71 cents a day.) This

would be such a blessing!

Let each of us do our part to prayerfully and

financially support our parish. May the Lord bless you and

your family abundantly for your generosity.

year’s Diocesan Services Fund. Catholics throughout

our Archdiocesan Community are uniting in faith,

Faith: the Next Generation – Pass It On

Boldly go where many have gone before and help pass on

the good news. What good news? The Good News of

Jesus Christ and our Catholic faith! This fall, children,

young people and adults will sign up to climb the mountain

and learn more about Jesus and the Catholic faith. You can

help by becoming a catechist for Faith Formation. As you

nurture the faith of our young, you will learn and grow as

well! We provide you with training, materials, and support.

Maybe the only reason you haven’t volunteered to teach

religion is because nobody ever asked. We are asking

NOW. We are each called by our Baptism to share the

faith. Do it for God. Do it for the children. Do it for

yourself.

Without you there is NO program. Our children are looking for someone...could it be you?

EARLY REGISTRATION

NOW OPEN FOR

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION

Parents interested in First Communion classes for their

children can come to the parish office for early registration.

The child must be 7 years or older, parents are also required

to attend class, and all must attend Mass as a family.

Classes start in September.

Days for registering are Tuesday, Wednesday and

Thursday from 1 PM to 4 PM. A copy of the Baptism

Certificate and a nonrefundable $20.00 deposit are

required. For more information call the parish office.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

A menudo, nuestros días están ocupados con los

detalles de la vida, tal vez obteniendo las ultimas

novedades o teniendo posesión o poder sobre otros. San

Pablo nos recuerda que no debemos vivir según los deseos

de la carne, sino según el Espíritu. ¿Pero a dónde nos

conduce ese Espíritu? A Cristo. ¿Y a dónde nos conduce

Cristo siempre? Al Padre.

¿Qué ocupaba la vida de Cristo? Cristo vino a traer la

paz. Él vino a proclamar el mensaje del amor y

misericordia de Dios. Él trató de desafiar los ideales de los

fariseos, de alcanzar a los pecadores y de amar a los

marginados. Tales características sólo pueden encontrar su

cumplimiento en un corazón que es humilde, haciendo la

voluntad del Padre a quien amó.

Entonces, ¿qué debe ocupar nuestra vida, nuestra

oración y el mensaje de nuestra propia vida? ¿Cómo

seremos recordados por nuestra familia y amigos? ¿Cómo

seremos juzgados por nuestro Dios? ¿Están nuestros días

ocupados con los detalles de la vida, o están ocupados en

buscar la paz y mostrar misericordia? Si con toda

mansedumbre y humildad depositamos nuestra confianza

en el Señor, entonces veremos que su yugo es fácil y su

carga es ligera. En Él encontraremos la paz.

puede ver, la mayoría de las semanas nuestras colecciones

están bajo del presupuesto para el mantenimiento de nuestra

parroquia. Es nuestra opinión que somos capaces de superar

este presupuesto si aquellos que acostumbran poner solo

$1.00 en la canasta de ofrendas, considerarían sustituirlo por

un billete de $5.00. (Su contribución semanal total

aumentaría de 14 centavos por día a solamente 71 centavos

por día.) ¡Esto sería una gran bendición!

nuestra parroquia con oración y fondos. Que el Señor los

acerca de mi fe!" Nosotros proveemos entrenamiento, materiales y apoyo.

Tal vez la única razón que no se ha ofrecido para enseñar

religión es porque nuca le han pedido su ayuda. AHORA se la

estamos pidiendo. Todos estamos llamados por nuestro

Bautismo a compartir nuestra fe. Hágalo por Dios, por los

niños, y por su propio bien.

Evite la prisa, largas líneas, y pague con tiempo—inscriba a

sus niños para clases de Primera Comunión con

anticipación en la oficina parroquial.

Los niños tienen que ser mayores de 7 años, los papás

tienen que asistir a clase también, y la familia debe atender

la Misa después de clase. Las clases comienzan en

Septiembre.

Inscríbase los Martes, Miércoles o Jueves de las

1 PM - 4 PM en la oficina. Es necesario traer el

certificado de bautizo del niño/a y $20.00 de depósito (no
