CEO Talk

Members & Patrons,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Xmas & New Year. Can’t believe another year has gone by, but we look forward to an

enjoyable and successful 2014 at the Sports Club.

We have the St Albans Gift happening this month - Saturday 18th January from 4-10pm. This will be the 6th year we

have hosted this event and we are excited to have the Australian Woman’s Champion Melissa Breen here to run the

kids clinic and also run in the main event on the night. This is a great day out for families, bring a picnic lunch or buy

food & beverages from our food van on the day. Entry is free and hopefully the weather will be in our favour on the

day!

We are very excited to also be hosting the Celebrity Cricket 20/20 Bash on Sunday 2nd February. We have the list of

players on page 2 and hope to have as many supporters turning up on the day to watch a very entertaining event! The

match will begin at 2pm and there will be a band and auction on after the game in the clubrooms. If this event is a suc-

cess, we are hoping to host this each year. Proceeds from the day will go to 2 wonderful charities - Scope Australia and

3KND Radio. We hope to see you all there!

Congratulations go to all our winners in the Xmas raffle. This has been a huge success and we are grateful to be able to

provide fantastic prizes for this participants. Also congratulations to the winner of the Johnnie Walker Whiskey. Details

of all winners on page 2.

Our current promotion is with Robert Oatley wines. They have generously supplied us with an exclusive Wild Oats Crew

Kit which can be won by purchasing any Wild Oats product for the month of Jan/Feb. See Page 3 for more details.

We have our Members Deals page again this month with some great specials. We would like to thank the businesses

who support us and can offer wonderful discounts to all our members.

The Ashes are nearly over, but we do still have the final game 5 on the big screen as well as the One Day tests. The

dates and time for these games are on page 2 & 4.

FOR ALL MEMBERS & PATRONS

The Sports Club recently had the privilege of

receiving a members Xmas rubbish, which was

dumped near the car park. Whilst this was a

lovely surprise to receive on Boxing Day, we do

not appreciate any member or patron

disposing of their unwanted items on council

property. Not only is this illegal, but also a waste

of our time and resources in clearing this up.

If any members or patrons feel the need to be

rid of their unwanted goods, please remember

we are NOT a tip and to dispose of your items

correctly.
