Please help with the implementation of our Security Team. Physical fitness is not key as it will just entail walking around and communication with other volunteers on matters of importance. We will provide all the training necessary for you to complete your assignment. The time commitment will be during one Sunday service. We are hoping to have enough volunteers so they serve on a once-every-two-month’s rotation.

Come and join us on either day. There is a sign-up sheet in the upper lobby for whichever day you choose.

MISSIONS CLOSETMISSIONS CLOSETMISSIONS CLOSETMISSIONS CLOSET

The Missions Committee would like to thank everyone for your generosity in helping restock our Missions Closet. We kept the poster up for the month of February and there was much love & care shown by everyone. We know that our missionaries will really appreciate it when they come home to visit and they have the opportunity to 'shop' and pick out items to take back with them. There was a long list of needed items that were brought in.

Once again the Sequim Bible Church body of believers showed their love & faithfulness to God in this very practical way. Thank you so much!

a prayer to the God of my life. Ps. 42:7, 8

On a beach in the South Pacific, I stare at the clouds. Thirty shades of orange ignite the billows rising from the steal-blue sea. The sky evolves from orange to red so gradually that the change is only noticed when I turn away, then look again to the sunset.

In the middle of the layered display, way off toward the horizon, one cloud takes center stage. It hums with butterscotch and yellow brilliance. What is in that place of burning light and color? Does the epicenter of that focused beauty attract angelic songs and twirling seraphim? I wish I could enter the exact location.

High-resolution photos of the Sombrero Galaxy reveal a flat disk of light set against black velvet garnished with diamonds. The galaxy’s center is a mass of light too bright to make out the source. Swirling around the nucleus are 800 billion white suns looking like so many grains of bleached flour.

What is in the middle of the 50,000-light-year-wide Sombrero Galaxy? I know my body would incinerate, but what would my spirit find in that spot where so much creation fills time and space?

From the frothing waves under an emerald waterfall, to the muted serenity of a baby inside a womb, there are places that call to my being. They say, “Here is the heart of life, in this seat you can experience the essence of creation.” These are “calling places.” They urge me into their core to fathom existence. And yet, they are unapproachable places, viewed only from afar.

We are made to consummate with life. Our God wants us to crave completion until we force our way past decay, and to His throne. He created us for union with Him and constructed a way, through Christ, to achieve our goal. The “calling places” of the present universe serve to remind us that, until we leave the body and unite with God, we are outside of life.

Prayer: “God of my life, from the depths You call me to Yourself.”

This request has come in from Mary Cairns, our missionary in Fiji Island: I have not had stable internet since returning from Australia and am in the process of changing my ISP. I have to remind myself this is a 3rd world country and nothing moves fast. I am hoping I can get this done so I can send you an update with pictures but can't promise. I'm really hoping I can get this done. This is a prayer need. I am doing emails [not every day] at the local bookshop.
