On Saturday, August 15, 2015 @ 2209 hours, Midwest City Police Officers responded to room# 238 at the Travelers Inn Motel which is located at 6821 SE 29 1 h in Midwest City, Oklahoma on an unresponsive person found in the room. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Trey Pritchard and Jeffrey Grafton deceased in the room with gunshot wounds to their heads. Through the investigation, it was learned that room# 238 was rented by a Jonathan Grafton (Defendant) whose identity was confirmed with the Oklahoma Drivers licenses he presented to the clerk and the surveillance video at the motel. After speaking with family members of Jeffrey Grafton, it was learned that the defendant had stolen his father's (Jeffrey Grafton) vehicle (Brown in color 2000 Dodge 1500 pickup bearing Okla Tag# from Sapulpa, Oklahoma and left the area. Family members said Jeffrey Grafton and his cousin, Trey Pritchard who is a police officer for Sapulpa Police Department left town this morning (8-15-15) to go locate the defendant and vehicle. It was also learned that the stolen vehicle had a GPS tracking device on it, which was put on the vehicle by the dealership (Car Mart) the vehicle was purchased from. Family members also advised that the defendant's girlfriend, Daphne Mason was with the defendant when he fled Sapulpa in the stolen vehicle. Upon a search of the motel room (238), some of Daphne Mason's medications and clothing was located in the room. However, the defendant, Daphne Mason or the stolen vehicle were nowhere to be found. The family members also provided several phone numbers for the defendant and Daphne Mason. . The phone numbers were pinged with negative results. After being unsuccessful with the pings on the cell phones, Car Mart was contacted to see if they could get the location of the stolen vehicle using the GPS that was on it. A short time later, the coordinates of the vehicle was provided. The vehicle showed to be at 3611 N. Sara Road in Oklahoma City. The vehicle was located a short time later parked in front of 3608 Janus Circle. The vehicle was unoccupied and neither defendant nor Daphne Mason was anywhere to be found. Several neighbors were spoken to in the area, who said that the vehicle was abandoned there around 1400hrs on 8-15-15. A short time later, a family member of Jeffrey Grafton called to advise that they had called phone number and a B/F answered the phone saying that she had found the phone while she was walking on 1-40 west bound near the 1-44 Junction. The B/F was later learned to be Nicole Stanton. Nicole agreed to meet Midwest City Officers and give them the phone.

At this point in the investigation the defendant nor Daphne Mason have made no attempt to contact the police or any family members.

On 8-16-15, Det. Blanton and Det. Archer with the Midwest City Police Department spoke with Pilar Mora who is a house keeper for the Travelers Inn. Mora said on 8-15-15, around 1300 hrs, she was cleaning near motel room # 238 when she heard some screaming coming from the room (238). Mora said a short time later, she saw a male and female come out of the room and leave in a brown dodge truck.

Arrest warrants were obtained for the defendant and Daphne Mason.

On 8-16-15 our department was contacted by Enid Police Department advising that the defendant and Daphne Mason's social security cards were found at a Wai-Mart in their city. After learning this information, Enid Police Department started a search of their city for the defendant and Daphne Mason.

On 8-17-15 around 1016 hrs Enid Police Department located the defendant and Daphne Mason at a convenient store in their city. The defendant and Daphne were taken into custody and transported the Enid Police Department.

On 8-17-15 around 1230 hrs myself and Det. Blanton arrived at Enid Police Department. At 1249 hrs I read Daphne Mason the Miranda Warning and she agreed to speak with us. Mason said she and the defendant had stolen some money from Jeffrey Grafton and they were afraid of getting in trouble, so they took Jeffrey's truck and fled to the Oklahoma City area where they rented a room at the Travelers Inn located in Midwest City. Mason said a short time later they heard a knock on the motel door and looked out and saw Jeffrey and Trey. Mason said Jeffrey and Trey were let in the room by the defendant. Mason said Jeffrey and the defendant got into a verbal/physical confrontation. Mason said during the confrontation, the defendant got his gun out of the night stand and shot Jeffrey and Trey. Mason said after the shooting her and the defendant got in the truck and fled the area. Mason said they got on the interstate (1-40) and started driving. Mason said while they were driving down the interstate, they threw their cell phone out the window to avoid being tracked. Mason said they then drove to a neighborhood in Yukon, where they abandoned the truck. Mason said after abandoning the truck, they called a Taxi, which drove them to Enid. Mason said they were trying to get far away as possible.

After speaking with Mason, myself and Det. Blanton went to speak with the defendant. At 1416 hrs, I read the defendant the Miranda Warning and he refused to speak with us.

After interviewing the defendant and Mason, they were transported to the Midwest City Jail where they were processed and booked in. The defendant was booked in at 1653 hrs.

These acts did occur in Midwest City, Oklahoma County and are in direct violation of:

21 OS 701.7: Murder I (2 Counts) (AFCF).

Based on this information, the undersigned prays that this Honorable Court issue a finding of fact that probable cause exists to believe that a crime has been committed and that there is probable cause to believe that the defendant (s) above named committed that crime.
