When the SS started and how?

● It was started in 1925.● Himmler Heinrich was the founder of the SS.

What did the SS do● The SS stands for Schutzstaffel ● It first started as Hitler's bodyguard and soon became the most feared

organization in all of Nazi Germany● They taught the soldiers that they were not elite to the Nazi’s but to all of

mankind

What was the nazi party?● The Nazi Party was the National Socialist German Workers’ Party● The Nazi Party was ruled by Adolf Hitler ● Started in 1920 in Munich, Germany ● Started by Hitler, Anton Drexler, Hermann Goring, and Dietrich Eckart

What did the nazi party believe?

● Jews were not viewed as a religious group but as a poisonous group.● The ¨Aryan Race¨ was the perfect race with having blonde hair and

blue eyes.● Anyone who was not like The ¨Aryan Race¨ or if they were a Jew were

persecuted.

What did the nazi party do?

● Persecuted against Jews, and anyone who was not the looks of the ¨Aryan Race¨ and they were put into Concentration Camps.

● Hitler influenced many people into coming into The Nazi Party, if they did not join they were also persecuted.

What was the Gestapo?● The Gestapo was the political police of Nazi

Germany● Gestapo is an abbreviation of Geheime

Staatspolizei. (German Secret State Police)

What did the Gestapo do?● The Gestapo operated without civil restraints● They were responsible for arresting thousands of Jews,

homosexuals, and more and putting them into concentration camps.

● They worked with the SS.

Who did the Gestapo work for?

● The Gestapo were a secret police force and they worked for Germany.

● They mostly helped the Nazi’s arrest jews and other groups of people.
