the hands of souls in purgatory. Afterwards, transfer to Trastevere, “across the Tiber”. Stop at the Basilica of San Chrysogono to venerate the holy remains of Blessed Anna Maria Taigi in the Chapel of the Madonna. Next, visit Chiesa del Domine Quo Vadis (literally, the Church of "Lord, Where Are You Going?"), a small church on the Appian Way, located on the spot where tradition says Saint Peter had a vision of the risen Christ while fleeing persecution in Rome. The two footprints on a marble slab at the center of the church are said to have been miraculously left by Jesus. Next, celebrate Mass at the Catacombs of St. Priscilla, which sit on the Via Salaria. The entrance is in the convent of the Benedictine Sisters of Priscilla. Because of the great number of martyrs buried within it, it was called “Regina Catacumbarum – The Queen of the Catacombs.” St. Philomena’s mortal remains were discovered in 1802 in the catacomb belonging to Priscilla. The first records of St. Philomena begin with the finding of her tomb in Priscilla’s catacombs, to the translation of her body to Mugnano del Cardinale, the beginning of her providential influence in Church life.
