You use the present progressive tense in Spanish to express an action in progress, an action that is currently taking place.

To form the present progressive, you use the verb estar:

Estoy EstamosEstás EstáisEstá EstánEstá Están

And the present participle. You form the present participle by using the stem of the verb and adding the correct ending. For –ar verbs, add ando, for –er and –ir verbs add iendo.
